Ideas for English Activities

• Write sentences using adjectives to describe nouns. Example: Thelma the unicorn has sparkly, pointy, silver horn.

Using the Theme: People and Places(Geography)

• Draw: Practise drawing the map of Australia freehand (don't forget Tasmania)

• Find a map of Sydney and find

• Write a list of words you can make from the letters in: "My neighbourhood is a great place to live"

Writing

• Interview an older person over the phone and find out what the neighbourhood that they lived in was like.

Ideas for Maths Activities

• Counting by 1,2,3,5,10's on and off the decade between numbers 300-400

Addition:

• Practice jump strategy using one and two digit numbers (you could use a number line, chalk, whiteboard markers).
