Service Opportunities

Students are eligible to earn community service hours through the Sustainability Task Force. Time spent working on initiatives outside of regular meeting times is counted. This could include time presenting at town or school meetings, researching environmental issues, or writing educational material.

April Town Clean-Ups

Location: Dover and Sherborn

Qualifications: None (be safe on the roads)

Michael Lisnow Bird Garden Clean-Up

Location: Pine Hill School (Michael Lisnow Bird Garden)

The Michael Lisnow Bird Garden is located behind Pine Hill School. When driving up PH lane you will see a sign for the Bird Garden before the main entrance. Walk up the stairs and around the backside of the building.


Date: Saturday, April 10th from 2:00-4:00 pm; Rain date is Sunday, April 11th from 2:00-4:00 pm


Qualifications: 5-6 Volunteers; Gardening experience is not necessary


Work: Help with general garden clean-up, which includes removing dead branches, pulling invasive plants, pruning overgrown shrubs, cleaning a bird bath, and straightening bird feeder poles. Volunteers are asked to bring their own work gloves and hand pruners if they have them.

Intergenerational Climate Conversations

Location: Virtual

Qualifications: Teens

Audubon Habitat Restoration

Location: Natick, MA

Qualifications: Adults and teens, age 15 and older. The tasks are physical and require walking on uneven surfaces.
