Spring League 2024/25
Massive well done to all those who participated in this years Spring hurling league. We had some great games throughout where all got to develop their skills. Congratulations to Tommy Ryan's team who were victorious today. The future is bright!
Team Limerick Clean - Up
Well done to all those who helped to collect rubbish today. We cleaned up the school grounds and surrounding areas. Make sure you get out next Friday also.
Primary Game 2025
Well done to Ryan Stapleton who will be representing his school in the Primary Game this year. We wish you all the best Ryan and looking forward to seeing you in action.
Irish Sign Language
Well done to Lee, PJ, Rua, Cian & Charlie who made a marvellous effort with ISL this year.
Trocaire Raffle
Well done to our winners of our Trocaire raffle. Copper Ryan won 1st prize, Cian Darcy won 2nd prize, Cian Coleman won 3rd prize and Evan Fahey won both 4th & 5th prize. Thanks so much to everyone for their generous support.
Funfest
Thanks so much to Castletroy College for inviting us into 'FunFest' today. We had a marvellous time. Thanks to Majella Hanrahan for the invite and well done to all the transition year students for coordinating, especially our former past pupil Cian Hanrahan.

ISL
Thanks to Marji for teaching all the pupils of the CBS Irish Sign Language over the last few weeks. We have all learned a lot.
Games Afternoon
Well done to all who kindly donated €2 for our games afternoon. This money will be donated to Trocaire and will hopefully make another child less fortunate, very happy.
The Great Bleisce Bake Off
Well done to all those in the baking club who participates in Mrs. Breens 'Great Bleisce Bake Off'. There were so many wonderful (and tasty) entries and all are a credit to the hard work they put in. We had 17 excellent entries. Well done to Daniel, Seamus, Tommy, Charlie & Kyle who all all received honourable mentions and congratulations to Evan who was our overall winner.
Mackey Cup 2025
Congratulations to Ryan Stapleton and Cathal Morrissey who represented our school with pride in the Mackey Cup last Tuesday. Ryan played in goals and Cathal at corner back. The East came up just short against a strong City team who would be eventual winners.
East Champions!
Well done to our mini 7's hurling team who won the East title on Wednesday. We now qualify to contest county honours in April, looking to retain our title. Maith sibh buachaillí.
Jam Making
Well done to Daithí, Dara, Evan & JJ who made some wonderful jam in Doon Social Farm. Many thanks to Bianca for facilitating this and to Mrs. Breen for her wonderful work with the baking clubs. Hopefully we will have a few famous chefs in years to come!
Indoor Hurling Champions
Well done to our indoor hurling team who retained our East and county titles.
World Book Day 2025
To celebrate World Book Day 2025 we had a whole school orienteering activity. All pupils were divided into mixed class teams and their knowledge tested on some of the various class novels covered this year. Many thanks to the student council for this wonderful active suggestion.

Pancake Tuesday
Pancake Tuesday is always a popular day in Doon CBS. Many thanks to Audrey & Mary for all their hard work and Mrs. Breen for organising. The pancakes were delicious!!
St. Brigid's Crosses
Thank you to Scoil na Tríonóide Naofa for inviting us to their school to create St. Brigid's crosses. It was great to see all our past pupils again and we thoroughly enjoyed the trad session and sweets!!!!
Grandparents Day 2025
Thank you to all who came to our wonderful celebration today. Grandparents are so important and are always cherished by the boys in Doon CBS!!

Art Attendance Winner
Well done to Dara Kennedy 4th class who won the Regional Primary Category in the National Attendance poster awareness campaign.
The National School Attendance Poster Competition is aimed at getting behind schools, pupils, parents/guardians and communities to raise awareness about the importance of regular school attendance.
Many thanks to Maryanne Lowney from TESS who presented Dara with his art hamper. The school also received a monatory prize which went to buying all the kids in the school a treat, while Dara and his class will be going on a day out in the near future.
