Transfer Credit

Who: Transfer students or first year students who performed well enough on their AP or IB exams to waive a CORE class. Note: these first year students are not considered transfer students, but they come to Dominican having earned credits.

What: The TCE is official documentation created by the Registrar's Office that documents credits (coursework, AB or IC) that a student earned toward the CORE curriculum prior to coming to Dominican. It also shows the total number of credits that have been accepted as transfer credits. Note: sometimes there are elective units in addition to CORE units. A copy of the students' transfer transcript is attached to the TCE.
