Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) realizes that its most valuable resource is its people. We acknowledge that pay, benefits, and professional development serve as motivating drivers in attracting and preserving a highly-talented and accomplished workforce.
Starting April 1, 2025, the Personify Health Platform wellness platform will help you achieve your health goals with a fun and engaging experience that delivers powerful resources right to your fingertips. All benefits-eligible faculty and staff are invited to join.
Personify Health, formerly Virgin Pulse, is a personalized health and wellness platform that facilitates the communication of challenges, incentives, events, and other activities to incentivize employees to engage in their health and well-being throughout the year.
Click on any entry in the table of contents below to jump directly to that section on this webpage.
On-Site Live Events were scheduled as kick-off events during the month of April 2025. If you have questions or need assistance understanding the Personify Health Wellness Platform, or would like to schedule a one-on-one or group training session, please contact your local wellness representative or submit an Ask Wellness help desk ticket.

Full-time benefit-eligible faculty and staff members enrolled in an MCCCD Medical Plan are eligible to access the Personify Health Platform and earn Wellness Incentive Credits.
Although eligible employees can invite up to 10 friends and family not enrolled as the primary carrier in an MCCCD Medical Plan, those invitees do not earn Wellness Incentive Credits; it is a great way to build a supportive community while staying motivated in each other's health and wellness goals.
You will receive an email on April 1 from Wellness Maricopa that will provide you with all of the information needed to register. You will also have access to a variety of guides, and we will be there to support you in person at the live events. The Personify Health User Guide does contain a QR Code that will take you to the registration page; please make sure you enter your name as it appears on your Baner|Aetna insurance card and the ID number without the preceding"0". Additional email reminders will come from Personify Health beginning April 2, if you have not registered for the app yet.
Follow these steps to register on a mobile device or the Personify Health website.
The platform has an application version that works on Apple and Android and a web-based platform that you can access through a laptop or a desktop computer. Once you have utilized the platform on both, you may want to use the web browser for some activities and the app for others, according to your preferences.
Currently, spouses are not eligible to access the full Personify Health Platform and earn Wellness Incentive Credits unless they are also a full-time faculty or staff member under their own MCCCD Medical Plan. However, you may invite your spouse to join under the Social Friend section of the app. Though your invitees aren’t eligible to earn rewards, they can create personal challenges, compare statistics, track Healthy Habits, and more.
The Personify Health platform is accessible to your spouse, children (16 and older), and friends who may not work at MCCCD. To get them involved, you would need to invite them as friends to the platform; however, they will not earn Wellness Incentive Credits. Once they accept and register for the platform, they can utilize the challenge, habit, and journey features to support themselves and enhance their well-being.
Any friends or family members registered on the Personify Health platform will not earn wellness incentive credits and cannot utilize the coaching feature within the platform. Please note that 16 and 17-year-olds can only register with a parent or guardian's consent. A form would be sent to you by member services to authorize that consent and provide the ability for that minor child to participate in the program.
Once newly eligible employees enroll in an MCCCD Medical Plan, an email will be sent to them from Personify Health inviting them to register with Personify Health Platform and start earning Wellness Incentive Credits.
Yes, Personify Health supports 23 languages. The platform is available in the following languages: English, Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
Because this is associated with your medical benefits, when you first sign up for the platform, you must use the name exactly as it appears on your insurance card, along with your date of birth and employee ID. Once you have created your account, you can edit your name in your profile to whatever you prefer. The name you choose for your profile will be the one visible to other users on the platform.
Following your separation from the company, Personify Health will update your record to reflect a pending cancellation status for a period of 33 days. During this time, you will not have the opportunity to earn additional points toward a reward level. However, rest assured that any rewards you earned prior to this change, which have not yet been disbursed, will be fulfilled in the following month.
Anytime there is a termination of employment, the member is first removed from the eligibility file (by omission) and then moved into the 33-day pending cancel period. During the pending cancel period, the member can still engage with the Personify Health platform but will not earn additional points. The member will lose access to the platform after the 33 days have elapsed.
All associated Friends & Family accounts will be terminated once the related Member account has been terminated. After the member account has been terminated, there is a 32-day period that must lapse before friends and family can be re-invited by a different member account.
When searching by company, enter MCCCD. (If you select Maricopa County, AZ, this will not tie into MCCCD as it is a totally different company)
When entering First and Last name, the information entered must match the name printed on your Banner|Aetna Insurance card.
When entering the Employee ID, you must use the number from your insurance card without the leading "0" or the number found in your Primary Job Details tile in HCM.

Yes, an MCCCD computer can be utilized; however, you should take precautions with the information you enter with your work computer or if you are connected to a personal device through your work network. Any personal information is not secured if you are not on a private network.
Participation in the Personify Health Platform is voluntary. However, in order for eligible employees to earn Wellness Incentive Credits, participation in platform activities is required. You may choose to participate in any activities that interest you to whatever level you choose. The more you engage with the platform, the more you earn!
We want to clarify that no personal data related to the visit will be uploaded to Personify Health for any individual. The only information that will be recorded is the completion of the visit. In order to earn points for this visit, employees are encouraged to register before the end of the quarter in which the visit is logged on the platform. Please note that if an employee opts not to register, points will not be awarded.
Your Personify Health information will be deleted not more than thirty-two (32) days after (i) your Program Sponsor terminates its agreement with Personify Health or (ii) you terminate your membership, whichever comes first. The attestation entries will not be verified. We trust that MCCCD employees are ethical and would not claim to have completed activities they did not actually complete.
Personify Health is provided only basic eligibility information for employees eligible to register.
Depending on the reason for the audit, it may be handled using different methods by professionals trained in completing these types of audits. However, audit selections are always made randomly with a small sampling, and the business purpose of the data review is to audit the data.

This program is replacing the current credits you receive. The last check date for the current incentives to be paid is April 18, 2025.
The Personify Health platform has about 100 different activities. These are not to be considered tasks but various ways of improving one’s health through education and awareness. Your interaction with the platform is entirely up to you when and where you do it. We want to clarify that this initiative is not intended to add to employees' workloads. Instead, we are introducing a tool to provide valuable resources to support their health and well-being alongside incentives for its utilization. Employees are encouraged to use this tool as needed, whether at home or in the workplace. We have also communicated to leadership the importance of fostering an environment that allows employees to access this resource while at work.
Once you register and interact with the platform, these points will accumulate faster than you think. You will see how to accrue points after a few minutes on the platform. This is a challenging question to answer because everyone is unique. This program may also not be perfect this first year, but we are committed to improving it for the future, where we find challenges. Additionally, you can earn points while engaging in your everyday activities. Going to the supermarket or playing with your kids can earn you steps and qualify you for Wellness Incentive Credits.

The Wellness Incentive Credits will only be paid if a member is actively engaged in the platform, even on an extended leave of absence. However, members enrolled through COBRA are not eligible to receive Wellness Incentive Credits.
No, you still have a full quarter to earn 15,000 points (April 1st - June 30th).
Once the first quarter of the program is over, your Personify Health points will reset to "0" zero, and you will be able to start earning another 15,000 points for the next quarter (July 1st - September 30th).
The Governing Board approved the new platform on October 29, 2024. Implementing a program as complex as this one at MCCCD takes time. After approval, we collaborated with Personify Health to develop a timeline for going live on April 1, 2025. EBAC and MCCCD Leadership approved an interim solution to pay the existing credits through March 2025. As the WIC Redesign Team developed the program, it became evident that we would need to request interim solution payments to continue through April so that employees could begin earning points on April 1 and start receiving payments in May. This ensures that there will be no lapse in credits while the program ramps up during April.
There is no limit/date for when you need to sign up. You can sign up whenever you like.
Thanks for providing the information. The platform reflects activities in the employee’s selected time zone. We are in MST, but the Personify Health system is currently in EDT. The month earned can be different based on the time difference. For example, if you earned the remaining points to get you to the next level at 10:30 pm MST on April 30, this is 1:30 am EDT on May 1. It will show on your dashboard as earning the level in April; however, the system of record is processing it as earning the level in May, and they will not be payable until the following month.
Yes. The details of what the Governing Board approved and the funding source are recorded in the October 29, 2024, Public Governing Board minutes. We will link this item in the Q&A we publish: Governing Board Minutes - WIC - 10-29-24.pdf.
There are no plans at this time to increase the annual amount.
The details of what the Governing Board approved and the funding source are recorded in the October 29, 2024, Public Governing Board minutes. This includes a summary of the financial analysis that was completed on pp. 29-30.
We have also explored this question and understand the reasoning behind the binary approach to gender. Personify Health has developed its system to incorporate medical recommendations for preventive care. This is guided by an algorithm designed to suggest appropriate preventive measures, such as mammograms for women and prostate exams for men, based on the identified gender.

The 9-month pay schedule only relates to your contract pay for the academic year. Any other wages you earn over the Summer can still be paid out over the Summer, and these WIC payments will work similarly. If you earn rewards in July, they will be paid in August. Payroll is updating the next fiscal year's payroll calendar with an indicator showing the date WIC will be paid each month.
May activities will still be paid in June. Please ensure your direct deposit is current before you separate from the company to avoid missing this payment.
Taxes are deducted in accordance with the IRS and state tax schedules. The entire check should not get withheld for taxes unless you have your federal and/or state W-4 set up to withhold an additional amount that exceeds the amount of your reward. If that is the case, you should revisit your election over the Summer months.

The points and levels of game-like design were thoroughly discussed and analyzed before we arrived at what the committee determined would be fair for all employees, allowing everyone to engage, not making the system too difficult, but challenging enough to require health and well-being engagement over the year. With that in mind, the committee was sensitive to those employees who may not have access to technology, and thus, manual points are the same as points earned through the integration of a device. Points don't carry over; they reset to "0" every quarter.
Qualified participants who reach all four levels before 9:00 pm by the last day of the first month of the quarter will receive $150 when those rewards are paid in the next month. This would be the maximum anyone can earn in one month/quarter. Please note: once you reach the maximum level of 15,000 points for the quarter, you can continue earning points, but additional Wellness Incentive Credits will not be paid out for that quarter, and accrued points will not carry over into the next quarter but will reset to "0" once the next quarter starts.
For example, if you reach level 4 (15,000 points) by the end of April, you will receive $150 paid out on May 15th, but you will not be able to receive any additional Wellness Incentive Credits paid in June or July. Points will reset to "0" at the beginning of July, when you can begin earning Wellness Incentive Credits for Quarter 3 (July 1st - September 30th), which will begin paying out in August.
There is no limit on how many points you can earn per month. Your reward points roll from month to month, but only within each quarter of the calendar year. Once the quarter is over, all reward points will reset to zero.
Yes, this is correct.
You will notice that these points grow quickly for activities you are already completing once you register. Still, the purpose of the WIC Redesign is to make the program effective in achieving its goals of improving members' health and yielding a return on the more than $ 2.1 million investment our self-insured medical plan makes through these incentives, resulting in a reduction in claim costs for our medical plan. To look at this from another perspective, if claim costs are reduced, the plan costs we are responsible for paying a percentage of in medical payroll deductions are also reduced, which is a positive for us all as our percentage gradually increases to 15% of the plan costs over the next couple of years.
There was extensive discussion regarding point and dollar values. The program is designed so that the first level is low enough to be achievable through a few activities within the application, such as signing up and inviting friends.
Levels 2 and 3 are higher and require more engagement. Level four, at 15,000 points, sounds daunting, but with over 100 activities in the platform, employees’ interest in one or all eight dimensions of wellness is represented. The dollar values increase, as does the level of engagement, and the payouts are set up so that employees can earn a total of $150 each quarter, equaling $600 a year.
We did follow up with Business Services to get this answer. No new expense account will be created. 52998 WELLNESS BENEFITS will be used.
Yes, these credits are considered taxable income, and applicable taxes will be withheld from the paycheck your rewards are paid out on.
No, these rewards are not subject to ASRS.
The payment is automatic as the Personify Health platform is integrated with our payroll process.
Credits are paid on your paycheck the following month for any levels earned in the prior month. For Example:
Points earned in the month of April 2025 will be paid out on May 15, 2025.
Points earned in the month of May 2025 will be paid out on June 12. 2025.
Points earned in the month of June 2025 will be paid out on July 10, 2025.
Points reset to zero with the start of each new quarter.
Second Quarter of Program (July 1st - September 30th)
July points will be paid out on 8/7/25
August points will be paid out on 9/19/25
September points will be paid out on 10/17/25
Third Quarter of Program (October 1st - December 31st)
October points will be paid out on 11/14/25
November points will be paid out on 12/12/25
December points will be paid out on 1/9/25
They will still appear in your paychecks, but we will use a new earning code: WIC. Your payment amount can be found under the "hours and earnings" tab of your pay stub. Credits will be paid out one time per month beginning May 15th.
Wellness incentive credits will be paid out once per month.
Employees will receive their monthly payments based on the reward levels they achieved in the previous month. The payment amounts can vary depending on how many levels an employee reaches. Payments can be $0 (no levels reached in the month), $20 (level 1), $30 (level 2), $40 (level 3), $50 (level 1 & 2 achieved both in one month), $60 (level 4), $90 (level 1, 2, & 3 achieved in one month), $100 (level 3 & 4 achieved in one month), or $150 (all levels achieved in one months time), depending on how many reward levels were reached in the prior month. Many may view this change in the variability as a positive change. Different payment scenarios were considered by the Shared Governance group who worked on this project, and the decision was to structure the payments using this monthly frequency.
These payments should not be characterized as stipends. A stipend typically refers to a fixed, regular payment meant to cover specific expenses, often related to training, internships, or research. Conversely, an incentive serves as a reward or payment aimed at motivating or encouraging particular actions or accomplishments. We would like to clarify that these incentives will be disbursed in the month following the successful completion of the corresponding achievements.
The system is designed so that everyone has access, regardless of physical limitations, as that is only one of the eight dimensions of wellness. There are things you can do that don’t require any kind of walking or movement. For example, an employee can get points for doing a puzzle, reading a book, volunteering in the community, attending a wellness Maricopa event online or in person, or even recycling at home. You can also get points for setting up your sleep habits or doing daily habits inside of the app that you set for yourself that require no activity.
There are many activities inside and outside of the platform in which individuals with disabilities can participate.

For optimal user experience, Android 6.0 or better and iOS 13.0+ on an iPhone 6s or newer device is recommended. To download the latest version of the Personify Health app for free, please go to the Google Play Store or App Store (Apple).
Google Chrome (preferred for optimal performance), Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox.
The Personify Health platform aligns with and integrates with several devices and applications. Some examples are Strava, iHealth, Samsung Health, MyFitness Pal, FitBit, Polar, etc. Once registered, you can go to the Devices and Apps page to see which devices and software the platform integrates with. Please note that for many of the apps, you will need to utilize the app version of Personify Health and not a web browser to sync. And if you have a device that doesn’t currently sync but syncs to one of the other apps that do sync, this is a shortcut to sync it to Personify Health instead of updating it manually.
You don't need special software or a device to earn wellness credits through the Personify Health platform. If you don't have a wearable device or a phone that can sync, many of our phones are now tracking steps and other things like workouts. If that isn't an option, you can manually enter your activities, including sleep, steps, and daily habits. The WIC Redesign Team ensured that all manually logged events would accrue the same number of points as device-logged points.
The platform does not directly receive data from the devices/apps mentioned above, but it is able to receive data from these sources through other connected devices/apps:
Headspace connects to Apple Health and Google Fit/Health Connect
Whoop connects to Apple Health, Health Connect, Strava, and WITHINGS
My Healthy Journey integrates with Fitbit, Google Fit/Health Connect, and Apple HealthKit (which can sync to Apple Health)
Yes, the Personify Health platform integrates several devices and health applications such as Fitbit, Apple Health, Strava, and more. You can view a complete list of available devices and applications in the Devices and Apps section of the Personify Health app or website. Please note that you will only be able to link some of these while logged into the Personify Health app.
You can enter your information for steps, sleep, workouts, and mindful minutes. Information like waist circumference and hip circumference is considered a validated measurement and will only be tracked via a specific device and/or app. An example would also be an integrated weight scale, which may allow for these items to be validated in the Personify Health platform.
Connecting a fitness tracker via a device or app can be completed in three simple steps:
Select Devices & Apps from the menu that appears when you hover over your profile picture in the upper right of your screen.
Choose the device you would like to connect. Note: For complete functionality and optimized user experience, the Personify Health app must be downloaded to your smartphone. Recommendations for connecting a device or application may also be generated based upon your preferences, modes and frequency of physical activity.
Once you have identified your device or app, click on it, and follow the device-specific instructions that appear on your screen.
Yes, there is an option to sync more than one device. You can do that through the device and apps page in the Personify Health platform.
They will sync together, but you have to open your Personify Health app for them to sync.
Help with connecting Fitbit and other devices can be found on the Personify Health Member Services Devices & Apps website. You can also contact Personify Health Support directly via live chat, phone, or email:

For connected devices, points will automatically be awarded based on the feed from your device into the Personify Health platform. However, you will need to open the Personify Health app to sync your device. The Personify Health application is able to “look back” up to 14 days to ensure that your data is recorded. If you wait longer than 14 days to record your data, the information will not be identified by the Personify Health platform.
TrackCloud does not integrate with the Personify Health platform. However, if you use your local campus fitness facility, you can manually input your workout into the Personify Health platform.
We have requested such a document from Personify Health. However, they have warned us that it is a moving target, as they are constantly adding new partnerships. The platform's Support page is the best resource on current device and app availability/connectivity.
To reset your password, click the Forgot Password link on your login page and enter the email address you used during registration. Completion of the Health Assessment is voluntary. However, information you provide helps suggest recommended Journeys and other activities unique to you and your needs and interests. The more information you submit, the more accurate and personalized your health recommendations and platform information will become. Use the platform to track your information, learn about resources available to you, select meaningful goals, and engage in your well-being in a deeper way.
The Health Assessment takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes to complete, depending on the pace with which you choose to answer the questions.
If you are unable to access your measurements, you can still complete the Health Assessment by advancing the survey to the next page. Keep in mind that your final report upon completion will not include the missing measurements.
Once you start the Health Assessment, you can save and come back to it when you are ready to complete it and earn your reward.
Though the Health Assessment does not allow for updates to individual questions, it will allow you to retake the entire assessment and generate a new report. You will only be rewarded for the initial completion of the assessment.
You can print your current Health Assessment as a PDF with a synopsis of your answers.
Your report will remain saved in the Personify Health system until you are prompted to take the survey again in the next plan year.
Upon completion of the Health Assessment and/or personal profile, health activities unique to your interests and health goals will show on the platform based on your answers.
The nicotine-free agreement is now included in the Health Assessment.
If you choose not to complete the health assessment, you can go into "My Profile", located under the "More" tab. Scroll down the page and find the NICOTINE-FREE AGREEMENT section. Read the agreement and click that you are indeed nicotine-free. A green checkbox will appear with the words, I am a nicotine-free member will appear once the agreement has been completed.

Yes, you can complete your annual physical or wellness checkup to earn rewards. Once you have completed a wellness visit or annual check-up with your healthcare provider if it is coded as such, it will be identified by Banner Aetna and thus be loaded into the Personify Health platform and included in your Wellness Incentive Credit earnings.
Any visit with your health care provider that is coded as a “wellness” visit or an “annual check-up.” Please check with your provider to make sure that the visit is coded correctly. If you had blood work done during a visit, that does not necessarily qualify the visit as an annual or wellness visit. Visits that are coded correctly will be identified by Banner Aetna and thus be included in your Personify Health Wellness Incentive Credit earnings.
Beginning in April 2025, any annual preventive visit for which we have received confirmation from B|A and was completed on or after November 23, 2024, will be loaded into the Personify Health platform for the wellness points for this program year. Only one annual preventive visit will be loaded per program year.
If your PCP is part of the Banner|Aetna health system, there is no form or proof that you need to submit to earn points. Once you have completed a wellness visit or annual check-up with your healthcare provider, if it is coded as such, it will be identified by Banner|Aetna and subsequently loaded as a confirmation indicator into the Personify Health platform. You can review the points awarded on the Earnings History tab of the Rewards page.
To support the PCP annual visit requirement, Banner|Aetna provides a monthly listing of individuals who have met this requirement. Only the confirmation that you have completed the visit is loaded into the platform, no other personal health information is shared with the MCCCD Benefits team or Personify Health. Beginning in April, any annual preventive visit for which we have received confirmation from B|A and was completed on or after November 23, 2024, will be loaded into the Personify Health platform for the wellness points for this program year. Only one annual preventive visit will be loaded per program year. Please note that you must register on the platform to apply these points to your account. Wellness Maricopa will continue to send out notices once the PCP confirmation is received and will include a reminder to register for Personify Health to begin participating and earning points toward Wellness Incentive Credits if you have not already done so.
You don’t have to report the completion of your visit. Once you have completed a wellness visit or annual check-up with your healthcare provider if it is coded as such, it will be identified by Banner Aetna and thus be loaded into the Personify Health platform and included in your Wellness Incentive Credit earnings.
To support the PCP annual visit requirement, Banner|Aetna provides a monthly listing of individuals who have met this requirement. No other information associated with the visit has been or will be received. Beginning in April, any annual preventive visit for which we have received confirmation from B|A and was completed on or after November 23, 2024, will be loaded into the Personify Health platform for the wellness points for this program year. Only one annual preventive visit will be loaded per program year. Please note that you must register on the platform for these points to be applied to your account. Wellness Maricopa will continue to send out notices once the PCP confirmation is received and will include a reminder to register in this notice if you have not already done so.
We are unable to accommodate this exception. To uphold the integrity of the program, we have established safeguards to prevent any manipulation of the data.
If your doctor miscodes the visit, the visit will not be identified correctly by Aetna insurance and will not be credited in the Personify Health platform.

Yes, a mammogram would be considered preventive. You will find this in the ”My care checklist” section under the "Health" menu on the homepage. All you need to do is enter your appointment date, and the system will calculate your point total. Please keep in mind that to earn 300 points in the My Care checklist, you need to have completed three preventive check-ups. My Care Checklist is based on recommendations for your age and sex.

You won’t need to submit any kind of visit verification. Those items can be found in the My Care checklist, and once you indicate on what date you had those visits, the system will calculate the points awarded. Please keep in mind that to earn 300 points in the My Care checklist, you need to have completed three preventive check-ups.
The platform's launch is on April 1, 2025. As it relates to preventive health, those visits would have to be done after the launch. However, a visit with your primary care physician would be included if it were any time after November 22, 2024.
Only Primary Care Visits completed on or after November 23, 2024, will be loaded into the Personify Health Platform for the wellness points for this program year.
No, for Primary Care Visits, beginning April 1, any annual preventive visit for which we have received confirmation from B|A and was completed on or after November 23, 2024, will be loaded into the Personify Health platform for the wellness points for this program year.
MCCCD will offer biometric screens this Fall, 2025.
Blood work is not a biometric screening. Biometric screenings are very specific. That will trigger the event code file and transfer it to Personify Health to give you credit.

The Healthy Habits feature facilitates the adoption of health behaviors through customized activities generated by your responses to the Health Assessment and interests you have selected. You can track up to twenty healthy habits at one time, and earn Wellness Incentive Credits for tracking Healthy Habits.
Daily cards include unique well-being tips that are personalized based on your responses to the Health Assessment and/or your personal profile.
There is a section on the home screen called “daily cards.” These “cards” are short informational blurbs related to your chosen interests when you signed up. The “My Actions” screen is another segment of the home page (a little ways down from the cards), which reminds you of things you can do on the platform. You can always see your “daily cards” at the top of the home page screen and as the first thing you will see when you open up the platform on your device, laptop, or desktop.
A journey is a way to make small changes and help you reach your specific goals that are unique to you and your needs or interests. There are many Journeys available with a specific focus on nutrition, physical activity, financial well-being, and emotional well-being. Journeys provide one step a day to complete over a specified number of days.
Each Journey is different. It can take anywhere from 10 – 28 days, depending on the nature of the Journey and how active you are on the platform.
You will earn 20 points for completing a step in a Journey. And you will earn 150 points for completing an entire Journey (up to three times per quarter).
There will be several types of challenges offered throughout the year:
Company Challenges may be offered to all participants a couple of times per year.
Individual Campus Challenges may be offered to participants at various times of the year.
Promoted Healthy Habit Challenges may be offered to all participants monthly.
Personal Healthy Habit challenges can be created by any participant at any time during the year.
Yes, you can participate in multiple challenges and Journeys at the same time. Engage in the challenges and Journeys that are most meaningful to you!
Please visit the linked webpage for tips on creating a challenge.
Yes, you can create a personal Healthy Habit challenge at any time and invite your friends.
Yes, you can invite up to 10 family members or friends to participate. The invited participants can enjoy many of the platform’s basic features but are not eligible to earn Wellness Incentive Credits.
Yes, you can invite your relatives and friends by visiting the Personify Health platform and choosing the “Social” tab from the main menu. Then go to “Friends.” Once you are there, click “Invite Friends,” then click on “Friends & Family.” There, you can email up to 10 friends and family who you would like to join you on the platform.
Please note, if they are already enrolled in the Personify Health app at their own participating workplace, you will not be able to invite them, since they are already registered.
Employees enrolled in an MCCCD medical plan can enroll in the Personify Health platform. That means eligible employees are the primary cardholder on the medical plan. Even though your wife or dependent is FT at MCCCD, if they are not the primary holder of the insurance, they will not be eligible to earn Wellness Incentive Credits through the Personify Health platform, even if the employee is enrolled in the plan as a dependent of another employee.
You and your friend, who has Personify Health platform access through ASU, cannot connect using their existing ASU account. They would need to create a second account via the MCCCD friends and family offering using a second email address. If they enter the same email address used to create the ASU account, the system will say they must use another one. This account would be entirely independent of their existing ASU account, and they likely wouldn’t want to enroll in a separate account just to have a limited version of the account they currently have access to through the friends and family view.
Let me know if this makes sense or if you have any additional questions. You can also reach out to Personify Health at support.personifyhealth.com. There is live chat available Monday-Friday from 2:00 am - 9:00 pm ET, or you can call support at 1-888-671-9395. The live switchboard is available Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 9:00 pm ET.
Once you schedule a coaching session, the system automatically awards you the points equal to that activity. If you don’t see the points, please go to your “Rewards” page and click on the tab called “My Earnings.” Under my earnings, look at the day you had your coaching appointment, and you should see it listed there with the number of points awarded for the activity.
Although you can sign up for Foodsmart outside of the Personify Health platform, you can access Foodsmart through Personify Health while getting points for browsing or favoriting recipes.

The new Wellness Incentive Credit (WIC) program will utilize the Personify Health app to help users build healthy habits and track their progress through a built-in activity tracker, notifications, daily tip cards, and gaming aspects like monitoring steps taken, sleep patterns, and personal, college/group, or district-wide challenges. With the game-like design of the platform, employees can earn points and levels toward their Wellness Incentive Credits. Each level is equal to a number of points, and points are equal to a cash value.
For example,
Level 1 is equal to 500 points and $20,
Level 2 is equal to 4,000 points and $30,
Level 3 is valued at 8,000 points and $40, and
Level 4 is equal to 15,000 and is valued at $60.
Each one of the activities you participate in has a different point value. As you accumulate points, you accumulate a dollar amount that will be paid out as Wellness Incentive Credits.
Eligible participants (employees enrolled in an MCCCD Medical plan) can earn up to $600 per year (up to $150 quarterly) when they use the online/mobile wellness platform for customized engagement opportunities. Whether you’re looking to improve your financial well-being, focus on your fitness, or spend more time with your pets, friends, and family, the Personify Health platform can help you define and meet your unique wellness goals.
You participate in activities to earn points inside and outside the platform. The program is split into 4 levels, and you will have the opportunity to achieve these point levels each quarter. Completing your health risk survey will get you to level 1 (500 points). See the chart on the Get Started section of the home page for point values.
Yes, correct. The same dollar amount as the previous wellness incentive credit. Max $600 per year, $150 per quarter.
However, you will not earn an additional $600 through the platform for the 2025 Calendar year since the first $150 was paid out through Health and Tobacco Wellness Credits in January-March.
Yes, it is $600. $150 per quarter.
There is no limit on how many points you can earn per month. Your reward points roll from month to month, but only within each quarter of the calendar year. Once the quarter is over, all reward points will reset to zero.
All point values can be found on the "Rewards" page in the Personify Health platform. You can see the category, activity, point value, and frequency on that page.
The point system includes various preventive health screenings, including a nicotine-free agreement. In addition, if you complete three preventive screens (e.g., mammogram, dental appointment, and eye appointment), you will receive 300 points. All you need to do is enter your appointment date, and the system will calculate your point total.
In addition, if you work out at a gym, you can manually enter that information under the Health Habits > Get a Workout section. Based on the amount of time you exercise, the system calculates the number of equivalent steps and awards the corresponding point value.
When you log in to the Personify Health Platform, you will see a summary of your current Rewards shown on a chart at the top of the page. You may also hover over the Home icon, and click on the Rewards tab to display your balance details.
All point values can be found on the "Rewards" page in the Personify Health platform. You can see the category, activity, point value, and frequency on that page. Please go to your “Rewards” page and click on the tab called “My Earnings.” Under my earnings, look at the day in question, and you should see it listed there with the number of points awarded for the activity.
The earned credits will still appear in your paychecks, but we will use a new earning code: "Wellness Incentive Credit". Your payment amount can be found under the "hours and earnings" tab of your pay stub. Credits will be paid out one time per month beginning May 15th.
Please note: if you reach 15,000 points within the first month of the quarter, the whole $150 will be paid out in May, and no additional money will be paid out for June or July.
You can complete as many reward-eligible activities as you choose. If all or part of an activity’s reward will cause you to exceed the quarterly maximum you will automatically receive the amount that will bring you up to the maximum.
Your reward points do roll from month to month, but only by each quarter of the calendar year. Once the quarter is over, all reward points will reset to zero.
No, you can attain a maximum point value of 15,000 per quarter, and the point value you reach will reset to "0" at the beginning of each new quarter.
If you reach all four levels in the first month of the quarter, you could receive $150 when those rewards are paid in the next month. This would be the maximum anyone could earn in one month/quarter. Please note: once you reach the maximum level of 15,000 points for the quarter, you can continue earning points, but additional Wellness Credits will not be paid out for that quarter, and accrued points will not carry over into the next quarter but reset to "0" once the next quarter starts.
For example, If you reach level 4 (15,000 points) by the end of April, you will receive $150 paid out on May 15th, but you will not be able to receive any additional Wellness Credits paid out for the months of June or July. Points will reset to "0" at the beginning of July when you can begin earning Wellness Credits for Quarter 3, which will begin paying out in August.
You don't have to log in each day. Suppose your activity is derived from an integrated device with the platform. In that case, you must synchronize with the platform at least every 14 days to receive rewards for your activities. If you are manually recording your activity, you should do so every 7 days. On the "Home" page of the platform, you will see a rewards bar that displays your current points and the number of points required to advance to the next level. The "Rewards" page on the platform will give you more information about how you can earn more points and what activities you have done so far.
We reached out to Personify Health for clarification, and they explained that there is a difference in the member experience for tracking manually entered activity data and healthy habits between the app and the web.
When using the app, members can only enter data for a 7-day period. If they wish to input activity or healthy habits beyond that timeframe, they can do so through the web experience.
Each activity has a different frequency. You can go to the gym five days a week and earn points daily for the distance you’ve traveled, steps you’ve taken, or time you've exercised.
However, certain activities, like having dinner with friends and family, allow you to earn points monthly.
Yes, you can record multiple workouts by going to the stats section of the platform. Choose "Workouts", select the workout from the dropdown choices, and put in the time, which will be converted into steps. You can do that for all of your workouts of the day. The workouts will be visually represented in the graph with different colors for each workout you perform.
No, the system is designed so that the activities available speak to all eight dimensions of wellness. It is entirely up to you as to which dimensions you interact with.
You will be paid the following month based on the reward level you reached the prior month. See examples below.
Example 1: An employee signs up in April and participates in several activities after the platform goes live, earning them enough points to reach Level 2 (4,000 points) in April. Then, the employee joins challenges, completes their daily habits, sees their primary care physician to reach Level 3 (8,000 points) in May, and participates in additional activities to reach Level 4 (15,000 points) in June. Their overall payment for the quarter will be $150. Wellness incentive credits would be paid out as follows:
April: $50 ($20 for L1 & $30 for L2 - paid on 5/15/25 paycheck)
May: $40 ($40 for L3 - paid on 6/12/25 paycheck)
June: $60 ($60 for L4 - paid on 7/10/25 paycheck)
Example 2: An employee reaches Level 1 at the end of April but is not actively engaged during May. However, by the end of June, they received 14,500 points (Levels 2 and 3) for their engagement over the quarter. Their overall payment for the quarter will be $90. Wellness incentive credits would be paid out as follows:
April: $20 ($20 for L1) - paid on 5/15/25 paycheck
May: $0 (no engagement in May)
June: $70 ($30 for L2 & $40 for L3 - paid on 7/10/25 paycheck)
In this example, because the employee did not reach Level 4, they weren't paid the additional $60.
If you are enrolled in the Virta program, you can earn points by attending our monthly Virta support group. You can also earn points through Virta by indicating on the platform that you are sticking to healthy habits such as proper nutrition and activity. There will not be discounts on gyms through the platform, although you can manually enter your activity from a gym or fitness facility under the Health Habits > Get a Workout section of the Personify Health app. Based on the amount of time you exercise, the system calculates the number of equivalent steps and awards the corresponding point value.. However, through our Perkspot discount warehouse, you can find discounts on gyms and other wellness products.
