These activities aim at supporting the students who are about to graduate in the management of their final project. The Final Workshop is a compound of activities that are designed and planned around the thesis projects themselves. The Final Workshop offers workshops on: Public Art, Special Graphic Techniques, Research Methodology, Graphic Elaboration. The students will have the opportunity to attend classes, in the form of lectures, that relate to their chosen thesis project, as well as to have professors in their field of reference reviewing their work. The planning of such activities follows the approval of the student’s final project, in order to customize the professors’ contribution as much as possible, and to offer the students highly targeted support, thereby maximizing outcomes and quality. Group lectures and individual reviews will alternate according to the individual cases.
The total credits for this course are 12, divided as follows:
Thesis lab (lectures): 8 CFA
Thesis Tutoring (individual tutoring): 4 CFA
The learning goals of this course may vary in respect to each individual project that can assume various forms and shapes, depending on the discipline and specificity of the final project. Yet the main objective is to provide tools in order to come up with a coherent thesis project that synthesizes the concepts expressed in the written part of the final paper.
The contents of the course are all structured in a way that they can foster the development of a coherent final Thesis project. The didactic approach in each case will therefore adapt according to the received proposals.
During the course the students will encounter the following methodologies of Instruction, that may vary according to the specificity of project proposals:
Theoretical/project based classroom lectures
Workshops
Use of tutorials, videos or other media tools for detailed study
Classroom debates and presentations
Individual study and research
No specific assessment is required, since the main goal of the workshop is to facilitate the realization of the final Thesis project. A judgment whether a student is eligible to proceed and defend his Thesis will be provided by the reference teacher, once the project will be completed
Eventual textbooks and other resources will be indicated and suggested by teachers in respect to specific proposals.
