In this activity, students identify values that wildlife represent, propose explanations for why wildlife is used in symbols, and analyze the use of wildlife symbols in a variety of contexts. For this abbreviated version, you will locate and share a symbol that incorporates wildlife, and you will share your thoughts on how wildlife is being portrayed.
Check out the list of sources to learn more about wildlife symbols on the national Project WILD site. Locate a symbol from one of the sources and share about it on the Wildlife Symbols jamboard.
You will need a picture of your symbol, so capture a screen shot or save the image link to your computer so you can upload to the jamboard. There are also some other options to share (see the jamboard).
