In this activity, students collect pictures of animals from print or online resources. They then discuss the difference between wild and domesticated animals, and tame versus domesticated. Students sort the pictures into wild and domestic animals, then create artwork using their pictures. In this abbreviated version you will sort kinds of animals into groups using a manipulative board and share on a Jamboard.
Visit the "What's Wild?" manipulative board and move the colored labels to create three groups: wild, domestic, and wild/domestic. Move the types of animals into the three groups.
How are wild and domestic animals alike? How are they different? Share your thoughts on the What's Wild? Jamboard.
