In the full version of the activity, students provide pictures of themselves at their current age and as babies - other students try to match the photos. They then try to match cards depicting young and adult versions of other animals.
In this version, you will match illustrations of adult and young versions of different animals. Some are very similar in appearance, but others (like insects), can be very different. Then, watch a short video on animal development. To wrap up the activity, think about how animals change as they grow, and make a drawing (or find pictures) of young and adult version of an animal.
Visit the matching game created in Flippity and match the adult and young.
Watch the short video on metamorphosis.
Draw an adult animal and its young. Circle what is different between the two.
