Singapore has launched its first eco-solutions manufacturing plant called, Green Lab - a one-stop facility for sustainable products located in the West Region of Singapore. Green Lab represents a significant step in Singapore's commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly practices. Tuas is a strategic location known for industrial development, a pioneering initiative in the region. Green Lab not only addresses the growing demand for environmentally conscious solutions but also serves as a beacon of innovation and progress in the realm of manufacturing.
This is the first ‘Smart Factory’ And Innovation Centre that focuses on health and sustainability in Singapore. Spanning 375,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art facility signifies a substantial expansion of F&N Singapore's capabilities, covering production, warehousing, and research and development (R&D) functions. The primary objective of this facility is to centralize a significant portion of F&N's non-alcoholic beverage operations in Singapore within a single location, streamlining operations for increased efficiency and capitalizing on economies of scale. Designed to operate as a cutting-edge smart factory, this facility will incorporate a high-tech automated storage and retrieval system, enhancing vertical integration and supply chain connectivity. Furthermore, it will host a dedicated R&D centre aimed at expediting the transformation of innovative ideas into finished products, including F&N's lineup of health and wellness beverages featuring sustainable packaging solutions.
Ms Diaz Ana Marie Estacio
Master Trainer
Ana Marie is currently a Master Trainer at Marshall Cavendish Education Pte Ltd, a position she has held since January 2022. Prior to this, she worked as a Training Executive from January 2020 to December 2021 and a Training Supervisor from September 2018 to December 2019. She also served as an ICT Executive cum Trainer at the same company from July 2010 to December 2017. Before joining Marshall Cavendish, Ana Marie was an Infocomm Executive at Business Edge Personnel Services Pte Ltd from January 2018 to August 2018, and an IT Programming Instructor at LaSale Tech Incorporated from June 2008 to May 2010.
Ana Marie holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from STI West Negros University, where she studied from June 2003 to March 2008. Her educational background also includes a High School Diploma from Doña Hortencia Salas Benedicto National High School and an Elementary Diploma from Cubay Elementary School.
Ana Marie has extensive experience working with various schools to deliver digital literacy and STEM training programs. She has conducted Python Appreciation Workshops at Pasir Ris Secondary School in 2021 and 2022 and led STEM Enrichment Programmes at Madrasah Wak Tanjong Al-Islamiah, Admiralty Secondary School, APSN Pathlight School, Rulang Primary School, Yuan Ching Secondary School, Tanglin Secondary School, Bedok South Secondary School, and CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace.

Day 3: Welcome and Design Thinking at Times Centre

One of the Largest Singapore Educational Solution Provider Across 94 Countries. Publishing processes are crucial in presenting written content to a wider audience, covering print and digital mediums such as books, magazines, newspapers, academic journals, and websites. These processes involve acquisition, rigorous editing, design, and layout for improved aesthetics and readability, and preparation for distribution through printing or digital formatting.
To commence the introduction to Design Thinking (DT), there will be a hands-on activity on crafting focusing on creating a personalized artifact for a friend, using an array of materials. This activity serves as an immediate immersion into the core principles of the DT framework. Subsequently, there will be a reflective session that will encourage students to contemplate the vital role of empathy in design, fostering an understanding of how considering their friend's needs is integral to crafting a meaningful artifact.
Dr Turner Lam
Digital Literacy and Design Thinking Expert
Dr Turner obtained a Doctorate in Education from the European Institute of Management and Technology and a Master of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. As an educator, he also spent short stints with College of Education at Harvard and Stanford and served as Head of International Collaboration at College of Education, National Tsing Hua University where his primary responsibility is to advocate STEAM Education worldwide. As a classroom teacher, Turner has experience in both K-12 and higher education During his 12 years stint with Ministry of Education Singapore, Turner served as the Head of Department (Acting) in one of Singapore's Future Schools, where he advocated for the adoption of ICT in Teaching & Learning to increase education equity. He was instrumental in the 1-1 pilot program which was eventually rolled out at the national level. He was also the secretariat to the East Zone Centre of Excellence for ICT where he's responsible for increasing ICT adoption for Teaching & Learning for 80 schools in the East of Singapore. He later spent a short stint in a higher education institution where he championed the use of analytics and technology for Teaching & Learning. In 2018, Turner partnered IMDA in delivering the 'Digital Nation' initiative to schools and community where his main role was redesigning curriculum to increase adoption of technology in Teaching & Learning. For his efforts, he received a commendation by PM Lee during May Day Rally 2019.

Day 4: Visit to National Institute of Education (NIE) and Innovation and Concept Building

The students from overseas can get to interact with students from Singapore to hear about school life in Singapore.

Dr Tan Aik Lim
Research Fellow, National Institute of Education - Office of Education Research
Dr. Tan Aik Lim is a Research Fellow in the Science of Learning in Education Centre (SoLEC), Office of Education Research at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. He received his PhD in Education from the University of Queensland, Australia. His research interests lie in the field of constructivism approaches to learning, motivation, interest development and passion. Through an ecological and physiological perspective, he is interested in understanding what affects interest development in learners, and its impact on students' development of socio-emotional competencies such as resilience and self-efficacy.
From birth, children have an innate curiosity to explore their surroundings, manipulate their environments, and seek out objects which they find "interesting".Interest has been widely recognised as an essential motivational component that is crucial to learning. This talk will cover theories of interest development and measurements of interest from a Science of Learning perspective.

Mr Yeoh Cheng Poh

Cheng Poh is an experienced leader and visionary in the education and public sector. He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in Asia and United States, holding senior management position in multinational corporations in the Education and Technology sector. Cheng Poh is currently the Head at Marshall Cavendish Education (MCE), managing the educational business globally. He leads the global team
in Singapore to drive the expansion and growth of MCE's businesses through new product development, strategic partnership, and investor relations. He is the also an Exco member of Singapore Book Publisher Association and Chairperson for Education Sub-committee. Prior to joining MCE, Cheng Poh was the CEO of a regional educational technology start-up firm - CM Asia Learning where he successful established new markets for the business and forged strategic partnership with Carnegie Global Learning to promote world-class STEM programs to schools worldwide. He spent his formative career years in Microsoft Asia Pacific where he held different senior management roles in the Education and Technology divisions. He had led multi-cultural teams to achieve high performance goals in the region that includes driving sales for education software licensing and solutions, and engaging educational leaders and decision makers in the public sectors. He was actively involved in grassroot activities and is passionate in advancement of children education, science and technology, and the development of the environment. Cheng Poh holds a Master in Management awarded by Graduate Business School, National University of Singapore (NUS). He also graduated with Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering with Honours.
