1. Can I take Psychology as a pre-med course?

• Yes! The BS Psychology program is a pre-med course with sciences and psychology in the curriculum. 

2. What’s QLY-PSM?

• QLY-PSM is the application for majors in Psychology. It is held during the third term of each academic year. To apply, the students must meet the following requirements:

  • • • A grade requirement of 2.5 in all pre-requisites (PSYNTRO, LBY1STA, LBY2STA)

• A CGPA of at least 2.0 (AB-PSM) and 2.5 (BS-PSYC)

• Rest assured that SMS will release announcements regarding the other requirements that must be submitted for QLY-PSM. 

3. What are seasonal majors?

• Seasonal majors are majors only available for an indicated term. An example would be PSYTHEO or Theories of Personality is only available on Term 1 every academic year. 

  • Due to the pandemic, the seasonal majors will become available every two terms. This is also because of the ID 120 Freshmen who entered DLSU during Term 3, thus the availability for seasonal majors has become more available. 

4. What’s the difference between regular/normal track flowchart and fast track flowchart?

• The main difference between the regular/normal track flowchart and the fast track flowchart is the number of units you can take per term.

  • Those who follow the fast track flowchart are allowed to have a maximum of 21 units per term, while those who follow the regular flowchart are allowed a maximum of 18.

• A student is also allowed to switch in between the two flowcharts depending on what they can handle per term. 

5. How do you become qualified to follow the fast track flow chart?

• You are eligible to follow the fast track flowchart if you pass the QLY-PSM. Following the fast track flowchart is advised but NOT required.
