In october 1945 Don Jose Yulo passed away because of respiratory failure. The Sugar estate was taken are of his family and the 3,912 sugar plantation was evenly distributes to his 9 children. The sugar estate was not the same specially when quota of production was reached.
In 1974 philippines started to export sugar on to the world market. Sugar allocations were based on country's trade with US in 1975 - 1981. The exports of sugar were lessen compared to the purchased of 1970s. There were low in demand for sugar. After decades of trying to sell the products the production was officially closed in September 2004. In the late 1970's some of the land were converted into industrial zones, golf course and housing developments. In 1990 the carmelray was established from the names of Carmel and Ramon Yulo that create more jobs and empolyment in canlubang areas.
Some of the land were sold on build corporations and transform it into a residential district and Mall driven areas. The corporations were well known through out the country such as Ayala land Corporation, Vista Companies and SM corporation. These were home of big named malls such us Ayala Malls, Vista Malls and the upcoming mall which is named to the after the Yulos, the SM Yulo.
