A lecture was held focusing on the details of fire code fees collection, including procedures, regulations, and the proper handling of collected funds.
Our first task was folding fire hoses. It seemed easy, but it was harder than we thought. Learning the right way to fold them—to keep them from getting tangled and ready to use was important for firefighters.
We had safety training before rappelling, learning how to correctly use the harness. This included practice sessions to build confidence and ensure everyone felt safe. Our instructor Sir Edmark ensured we all understood how to use the equipment properly and guided us very well.
During the rappelling exercise, I was quite afraid of heights. But I overcame my fear by focusing on the instructions provided by Sir Edmark. Although my rappelling technique wasn't perfect, I successfully completed the exercise, gaining valuable experience and demonstrating my ability to manage fear and perform under pressure. Sir Edmark's guidance helped me to conquer my fear of heights and complete the descent.
We learned to tie a basic knot, although unfortunately, we didn't get a photo of everyone while doing a knot. This particular knot, while seemingly simple, can be tricky for beginners. It requires to focus and attention to detail, and we found that actively listening to and observing the instructor was key to mastering the technique. Despite the initial challenges, the process was ultimately enjoyable and rewarding, as we successfully learned a fundamental skill while doing this knot tying.
