Physical mutations: If the Giant Sloth were revived, it would probably be mutated to be smaller and faster. It would be smaller than a sheep to be able to survive better, for with the huge size it had before, it would not be able to find enough food to feed itself enough.
It would also have colors that would match its environment, to help it avoid the predators today. These changes are essential, for without these changes, the Giant Sloth would not be able to survive today.
We have a lot more predators now, considering us humans would probably hunt the new and improved Giant Sloth too, along with wolves and wild cats.
Feeding mutations: We would also mutate it to have a behavior where it wouldn't need to eat from the tall trees, and instead would eat small shrubs and berries from bushes.
Survival probability: While the Giant Sloth's fur pattern would make it very skilled at hiding, it would still not protect the Giant Sloth from everything. While this might seem like a bad idea, for some sloths would die from predators like mountain lions and wolves, it makes sure that the new and improved Giant Sloth would not overpopulate, and take over their new habitat, sort of like an invasive species.
