When the giant sloth was still living, it could reach a height of 12 feet tall when standing and It weighed 4 tons!

It was the largest sloth to ever roam North America. This giant sloth did indeed coexist with the first humans, but sadly is now extinct.

The Giant Sloth had to live through the ice age, and afterwards. The difference in temperature was kind of drastic, but the Giant Sloth managed to survive!
