Competitive Dance is an Investment
Competitive dance is a rewarding experience that provides dancers with incredible opportunities for growth, performance, teamwork, and training—but it also requires a significant financial commitment for families.
For a dancer competing in 3 group routines, families should expect to spend approximately $2,000 for the season.
This estimate is based on our 2026 competition season and includes:
⭐ Competition entry fees
⭐ Convention and workshop fees (when applicable)
⭐ Competition costume fees for all group routines
This estimate does not include:
Standard monthly tuition
Solo, duo, or trio choreography and entry fees
Additional routines beyond the standard 3 group dances
Travel expenses (hotel, gas, flights, meals, etc.)
Private lessons or extra rehearsal sessions
Team jackets, merchandise, or optional studio purchases
Competitive dance should be viewed similarly to any other competitive travel sport—it requires both time and financial investment throughout the season.
While Divine Dance Center offers fundraising opportunities when possible, families should plan ahead and carefully consider their dancer’s level of commitment when auditioning for multiple styles or additional competitive opportunities.
Our goal is always to provide a high-quality, professional, and rewarding competitive experience while helping families understand the full scope of the commitment involved.
Please carefully consider how many styles your dancer should audition for based on your family’s budget.
