In a situation like this, you should always talk to your stream mentor. You may also wish to talk with some of the other TU Dublin services, including those listed at http://www.dit.ie/campuslife/ .
You should contact your stream mentor immediately, and submit to the School Office ( compsci-pg.city@tudublin.ie ) a Personal Circumstances form with supporting documentation within the required time period as set out in the form - https://www.dit.ie/media/qualityassuranceandacademicprogrammerecords/regulations/PC1%20Personal%20Circumstances%20Form%20-%20revised%2029.05.19.pdf
If, for unavoidable reasons, you cannot continue to attend a particular module you can apply for a Module Deferral (http://www.dit.ie/studentservices/registration/deferwithdraw/ . This will allow you to retake the module at the next available session.
To apply for a module deferral you must fill in the correct form (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h9yBMQLkX6RzCfMHqVYDLpVCxSSjwErZ/view_ ), complete it and submit it with supporting evidence for your reason for making a deferral request to the School Administrator (compsci-pg.city@tudublin.ie ). Applications will be processed and assessed by school management and deferrals will only be granted in cases of genuine need.
You must let your lecturer know as soon as possible if there is a problem with a deadline. If you have extenuating circumstances such as illness or personal difficulties then please contact the stream mentor as soon as you can.
