Is it possible to complete the MSc in one year?

Yes, the full-time MSc has 3 semesters (1.5 years). However, there is an option to do the dissertation (semester 3) in the summer so that the course is completed in on calendar year.

Do I get credit for taking extra option modules?

10 ECTS of option modules are used in the final calculation for your MSc award. However, you may take extra option modules that will not be included in the award.
