Ms. Jennifer Jenkins

WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE!

Hello! My name is Jennifer Jenkins and I am thrilled to be your second grade teacher!

I grew up in Illinois and earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Murray State University. I began my teaching career as a first grade teacher in Carol Stream and earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Administration certification at North Central College. Then I moved to Las Vegas where I taught first grade and served as an instructional coach. I returned to the Chicago area to teach second grade and have taught at Lincoln ever since. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I remember pretending my stuffed animals were students and loved working with children as I taught tennis and swimming lessons. 

I enjoy traveling, reading, and hiking, but most of all I love spending time with my family and friends. I also love extreme sports including surfing, bungee jumping, and cliff diving.

I am looking forward to our year together in second grade!
