Library Policies

The D65 Library is committed to equipping students with diverse resources, skills and tools to be responsible learners for a global society. We work with students, staff and community members to develop digital & media literacy, information literacy, and literature appreciation. All students will  engage in creativity, collaboration,  problem solving and inquiry to grow as independent learners and to have access to authentic experiences and explorations. The Library Department acts in alignment with the District’s commitment to equity and celebrating diversity; and the commitment to critical thinking.

Curriculum

The district curriculum is developed using national and state library standards.

Book Checkout

Students are encouraged to find a book that fits their needs. They should read and enjoy the books, but keep in mind that the library is a community space. The books are shared within this community. I hope the book gets returned on time, if not they will get a reminder. From time to time, I'll send emails home to families to help look for books. There are no fines charged for late fees, only if the book are lost.
