Library Information


Lincolnwood students visit the Library as a class once a week.


The Library is open everyday for students and staff.

​Students may get permission from their classroom teacher to return or renew books ​throughout the day.


Book check out is 1 week. 

Books may be renewed as much 

as needed.

Students may not check out books if previous check outs are missing.


Students may check out books

​as follows:


Kindergarten

Students check out 1 book to keep in their classroom for the week.


1st Grade

Students may check out 2 books

each week to take home.


2nd Grade

Students may check out 2 books

each week to take home.


3rd Grade

Students may check out 3 books

​each week to take home.


4th Grade

Students may check out up to 4 books each week to take home.


5th Grade

Students may check out up to 5 books each week to take home.



Overdue, Damaged, 

or Lost Books

The Lincolnwood Library supports students in learning to be responsible global citizens. This includes caring for their library resources. 


Overdue reminders will be sent through classroom teachers often. Please do not hesitate to contact the library if you have any questions about overdue books.


We remind students that library books are meant to be shared for all to enjoy.

No fines are charged

​for overdue books.

21st Century Goals and Objectives set for students stem from American Association of School Librarians, Illinois Standards Aligned Instruction for Libraries and  International Society for Technology in Education. 


D65 Library curriculum centers around literature, information literacy, digital literacy, research, and STEAM.
