Central Point, OR — D6 Theatre Arts proudly presents Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical, a magical stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s beloved story, opening April 17 at Crater High School Performing Arts Center. This colorful, high-energy production brings to life the whimsical world of Willy Wonka, complete with unforgettable characters, imaginative visuals, and toe-tapping music.
Audiences of all ages will delight in following young Charlie Bucket on his extraordinary adventure through the mysterious chocolate factory, where imagination runs wild and important lessons about kindness, honesty, and gratitude shine through. Featuring music by Marc Shaiman and lyrics by Shaiman and Scott Wittman, the show blends humor, heart, and spectacle in a way that makes it a perfect experience for families and students alike.
This production showcases the talents of Central Point School District dedicated 6th-12th grade theatre artists, musicians, dancers, and technicians, who are collaborating to create a joyful and visually engaging performance. From inventive costumes and playful choreography to dynamic set pieces and fantastical lighting, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory highlights the creativity and hard work of student performers both onstage and behind the scenes.

From Friday night to Saturday night, our actors, directors, writers, and tech crew are pulling an all-nighter to write, rehearse, and perform a series of original short plays from scratch. This is theatre in the raw—unpredictable, high-energy, and completely original.

"Regional Rockstars" Concert Ahead of State-Level Competition
The Crater High School Thespian Troupe is proud to announce "Regional Rockstars," a high-energy showcase concert featuring the competitive pieces selected for the upcoming Oregon Thespians Regionals.
The concert serves as both a public performance and a final "send-off" for the students before they travel to compete against the best young performers in the state. Attendees will experience a diverse range of theatrical talent, including musical theater solos, powerhouse duets, and dramatic monologues.

The Oregon Thespians Regionals is a prestigious event where students are evaluated by industry professionals. "Regional Rockstars" offers the Central Point community a front-row seat to the hard work and dedication these students have poured into their craft.
Proceeds from the concert will go directly toward supporting the troupe’s travel and registration fees for the competition. By attending, guests are not only enjoying a night of top-tier entertainment but are also investing in the future of the performing arts in Southern Oregon.
