Dear community member,

Theatre has the power to bring people together, spark creativity, build confidence, and give young people a place to find their voices. At Crater High School Comet Theatre, our students are doing just that. As we continue to grow and strengthen our program, we are excited to offer students a full season of opportunities to create, perform, collaborate, and lead.

This year’s season includes The Crucible, Something Rotten! and Peter and the Starcatcher, a student-directed and choreographed production. Each production provides students with meaningful opportunities to develop skills both onstage and behind the scenes. Students learn teamwork, communication, responsibility, problem-solving, creativity, leadership, and the discipline required to bring a production from an idea to the stage.

Producing high-quality, educational theatre is an exciting and rewarding endeavor, but it requires significant resources. Performance rights, costumes, sets, props, lighting, sound, makeup, technology, and other production materials quickly add up. As our program grows, we want to provide our students with the professional, creative environment they deserve while keeping opportunities accessible to every student who wants to be involved.

We are asking our families, businesses, alumni, and community members to consider supporting CHS Comet Theatre. Your generosity directly impacts our students by providing the resources they need to create, perform, design, build, lead, and grow through the arts. Every donation—large or small—helps us create meaningful experiences for our students and bring exciting theatre to the Central Point community.

There are several ways to support Comet Theatre, including financial donations, donated materials or supplies, professional services, and your time or expertise. If you have an item, skill, service, or connection that you think could benefit our program, please reach out. We would love to find a way for you to be part of our theatre community.
