Mundelein High School guidance counselors visited our school to meet our 8th graders and to help them pick their classes for next year! Thank you to all the parents that came to help your child make these selections.
As our cheerleading and boys basketball seasons come to an end, our wrestling and girls volleyball seasons will be starting soon!

SHS Language Placement: Incoming freshmen interested in taking a language other than Spanish (Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, or Latin) must complete Stevenson High School’s online placement exam on Saturday, December 13. For details, visit the Benchmark FAQ or register using the Registration Link. Spanish placement testing for students will be administered by their current Spanish teachers in November and December 2025.
Girls Volleyball: Although the girls volleyball season will begin after winter break, coaches will be holding tryouts next week, December 16th-17th, from 3:30-5:00pm. Here is a letter for more information.
Wrestling: All boys and girls, 5th-8th grade, are welcome to participate in wrestling. Practices have now begun and students are still able to join. Here is the coach's letter with more information.
8th Grade Dance: We are looking for 8th grade parents that would like to help with our 8th grade dance in May. If you would be willing to help in any way, please contact Mr. Pedersen at bpedersen@dist76.org.

MHS Incoming Freshmen Night: On January 15, Mundelein High School will welcome the Class of 2030 and their families to the school for an evening designed to introduce the ninth-grade experience. The program will highlight their academic offerings, a day-in-the-life of a ninth grader, available student supports, and the extracurricular opportunities at MHS. Birthday Treats: In order to have a uniform policy, we as a district have decided that students would NOT be allowed to bring in birthday treats to distribute to their classmates. Please contact the Main Office if you have any questions.
Online Classes: Here is a flyer for parents looking to take basic computer skills courses for free in English or Spanish at University Center of Lake County. Starting on January, registration in advance is required. Spots will fill up fast and participants who attend all classes in their course may earn a laptop to take home.
Bus Bulletin: Please sign up for bus bulletin notifications through Lakeside Transportation. By doing this, you will be notified if buses are running behind schedule. Click the link here to ensure you know when your bus is running late.
Diamond Awards: New to this year, we ask families to complete this nomination Form if they would like to recognize a staff member they feel are going above and beyond with what they do in the classroom, school, or district. Please consider spreading the positivity bys highlighting the great work that staff our doing in our district.
