🚌 Bus Expectations Reminder
We appreciate your help in reinforcing safe bus expectations with our Cubs! Please take a few minutes to remind your child that eating and drinking are not allowed on the bus, everyone needs to remain seated for the entire ride, and hands and feet should stay to themselves. These simple reminders help keep all students safe and make the bus ride a positive experience for everyone. Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Cubs safe!
Attendance Update
Although we did not meet the goal we were so close. What a great week of learning. We will continue to work towards a day of 100% attendance and we will celebrate BIG on that day. I know we can do it!
This week's attendance:
Monday- 98%
Tuesday- 96%
Wednesday- 94%
Thursday- 93%
Friday- 93%
💙 Thank You, DLS Families and I hope to see you this evening for the Dia de los Muertos Celebration!

Upcoming Construction on Diamond Lake Road
We wanted to make families aware of upcoming construction on Diamond Lake Road, anticipated to begin November 9 and last approximately 11 days.
During this time, First Student plans to reroute our school buses using Elmwood and Maple. These are roads our buses have traveled in the past, so this route is familiar.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this temporary change. We will continue to work with our transportation team to help ensure students arrive at and depart from school safely.
Thank you for your flexibility and support!
During Spanish Dual Language carpet time, our Cubs come together to talk about the stories we read. This is a great opportunity to practice using new Spanish vocabulary, share ideas, and build confidence as they communicate with their classmates. We love seeing our Cubs learning and growing together! 💙🐾
💙 At DLS, we believe in supporting the whole child. This means helping our students grow not only academically, but also as kind, caring, and considerate friends who respect one another. We are so fortunate to have an amazing school community where relationships matter and connections with one another are valued. Together, we are building a community where every Cub feels welcomed, supported, and valued! 🐾
Our MHS Dance Team brought the energy this morning as they welcomed our Cubs to school! Students had so much fun walking through the pom-pom tunnel while music played and the excitement filled the air. What a fun and memorable way to start our day! A big thank-you to the MHS Dance Team for making our morning extra special! 🐾🎉
Winter Clothing Drive- It’s been warm this week but winter is coming. If you have gently used winter clothing that no longer fits your family the Winter Clothing Drive ends tonight. We are collecting new hats, new gloves, and new scarves; as well as gently used snow pants, coats, hoodies, and boots. Clothing can be dropped off in the collection bins at tonight’s Dia de los Muertos Celebration. Help us keep our community warm this winter!
