Dear Diamond Lake Families,
Welcome BACK! We are so excited to see our students arrive each morning ready to learn, build friendships, and grow. Every single day at school matters, and we are working hard toward increasing our daily attendance compared to last year! When students attend school regularly, they feel connected, stay on top of their learning, and build routines that help them thrive socially and academically. I know we can reach our attendance goals together!
Important Schedule Reminders
School Hours: Doors open at 7:25 AM, and school officially starts at 7:40 AM.
Parent Pick-Up & Dismissal Procedures
To ensure the safety of all students and staff, please keep these important pickup guidelines in mind:
Advance Notice: If your child’s pick-up plans change, please notify the school office—not the classroom teacher. All pick-up requests must be submitted before 1:30 PM so our staff can ensure a smooth and safe dismissal.
Parking Lot Access: Pickup procedures begin at 2:25 PM. The parking lot will be closed from 1:45 PM to 2:25 PM to allow space for our buses to load safely. Parents may not park or leave their vehicles during this time.
Bus Transportation: All buses are loaded and dismissed before car pick-ups begin. Riding the bus remains the most efficient form of transportation for our families!
How You Can Help Build Great Attendance Habits
Set consistent bedtimes and morning wake-up routines.
Schedule non-emergency appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.
Reach out to our front office if your child needs support or if you have questions—we are here to partner with your family!
Every day at DLS matters!
Keep shining and #SparkleOn,
Mrs. Sunny Morley
Principal, Diamond Lake School

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions. Click HERE for treatment request.
PTO Budget Meeting – Did you know that all parents, guardians, teachers, and staff are considered members of the PTO? We have no dues or membership fees!
You are invited to join us on Tuesday, August 25, from 6:00–7:00 p.m. for our budget meeting. We will introduce our officers, talk about ways you can be involved, and present and vote on our 2026–2027 budget.
This is a great time to jump in or bring a friend! Child care is not provided, but your children are welcome to attend. Interested in being involved but can’t make the meetings? Indicate the ways you’d like to volunteer on our interest form, and we’ll contact you when an opportunity that matches your interests becomes available.
Spirit Wear Store – Getting ready for the school year? Don’t forget your spirit wear! Our D76 Spirit Wear Store is open now through September 20.
