Dear Diamond Lake School Families,
Thank you for your patience and flexibility with our e-Learning Day today. We hope it was easy to navigate, and we truly appreciate your partnership.
Next week is Kindness Week! Please see the Spirit Day schedule below and get ready for a week focused on showing kindness, caring for one another, and practicing respect in all places throughout our school community.
We are also making a big push for attendance during Kindness Week. We’re hoping to make it our best week of attendance yet, and we can’t wait to see all of our students back at school next week!
Thank you for your continued support in making Diamond Lake School a positive, welcoming place for all.
Every day at DLS matters!
Keep shining and #SparkleOn,
Mrs. Sunny Morley

The week of January 26-January 30, 2026, our school will be participating in the Great Kindness Challenge, a global initiative that encourages students and staff to create a culture of kindness through simple, meaningful actions. This year, the theme of the challenge is: Show Us Your Kind!
Throughout the week, students will be invited to show their kind by completing acts of kindness, both big and small, toward classmates, staff, and our school community. Teachers may incorporate brief discussions or activities focused on empathy, inclusion, and making positive choices, and kindness checklists will be shared to help guide participation. Our goal is to intentionally highlight and celebrate kindness, reinforce positive behavior, and strengthen our sense of community. Thank you for supporting this effort and continuing to show us your kind by modeling kindness for our students each day.
Great Kindness Challenge Participation: Students will be invited to participate in the Great Kindness Challenge by completing a grade-level checklist (PreK-3 English, PreK-3 Spanish, 4-8 English, 4-8 Spanish). Students in PreK-3rd grade are expected to complete all items on their checklist, while students in 4th-8th grade would need to complete 25 items. Completed checklists should be submitted by the end of the day Friday, January 30, 2026, PreK-5th grade students will turn theirs in to their classroom teacher, and 6th-8th grade students will submit theirs to the front office. Students who complete the challenge will receive a Kindness Certificate and a special prize.

D76 CARES: At D76, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched D76 CARES - a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community. D76 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. Treatment services are initially provided free of charge to district families for up to 8 sessions.
