After you have signed up for band and watched the required parent presentation, this page is to help you obtain a quality and reliable instrument for your child to play in band. We highly recommend a rent-to-own program such as Quinlan & Fabish. Woodland District 50 works closely with Q&F, and can vouch for their successful program.
There are other rent to own options out there, but we will not know details of their programs.
Please watch the video below of our Q&F representative explaining their rent to own program and how to rent an instrument (note- this video was made a couple years ago during remote learning), and then see the rental flyer for the rental fees for the instruments.
If you would rather seek other purchase or rental options for your instrument, please look at our required 'Instrument and Supply List' below to make sure your child has everything they need for 5th grade band at Woodland. (If you rent from Quinlan & Fabish, you will receive everything you need!)
PLEASE do not purchase a brand that is not listed on this document. We want your child to be set up for as much success as possible for their band experience, and low-quality instruments will lead to frustration and disappointment for your child. If you see a listing for a "brand new" instrument that seems really inexpensive, it is NOT a quality instrument. Please email both directors at any time if you have a question or want us to approve an instrument not on our list. We are here to help!
