Students in this Resource English Language Arts classroom are receiving instruction with materials from Read180 and/or the grade's general education curriculum when and where appropriate as well as depending on the student's needs.

 “READ 180 is a multimedia program that is designed to meet the needs of students whose reading achievement is below grade level. The program blends instruction from the teacher with innovative computer software that tracks each student's progress and customizes instruction to meet a student's needs.”  

They will also work on their skills using IXL, an online learning program where each student can work on skills that are specific to his/her needs.  

Read 180

Before jumping into our workshops, we will spend some time learning about Growth Mindset and what it means. We will take a Growth Mindset Scan Survey to see where students will be able to determine what type of mindset they are beginning the year with. We will revisit the principles throughout the school year and re-scan as well.
