I am so excited to be beginning my ninth year as a member of the Prairie Grove family and my 13th  year teaching and my 15th year in education this school year!  I have taught 7th and 8th grade English-Language Arts, Humanities, as well as fourth and fifth Special Education Resource. In April 2017, I earned my Master of Education in Specialized Endorsements with a focus on special education and English as a Second Language. 

In May 2017, I got married to Mr. Brown! In December 2017, we purchased our first home in Wauconda. In March 2018, my husband and I became a family of three when we welcomed the arrival of our son, Chase.  In May 2022, we welcomed our daughter, Emma, to make us a family of four. 

This school year, I am teaching 7th-grade Resource English Language Arts,  7th-grade Co-Taught English Language Arts with Mr. Channon, 7th-grade Resource Math, and Resource PLT.
