Each league requires that a minimum of one club sessions or tournament day be spent at the Discovery Center with coaching staff and virtual sessions Women’s International Master Knarik Mouradian. This ensures every team receives high-level instruction and foundational skills to compete with confidence.
Professional Training: Strategic insights from a WIM with international experience.
Hands-On Preparation: Practical tactics, openings, and endgame mastery.
Tournament Readiness: Step-by-step guidance to compete in a USCF-rated tournament.

At Your School
For schools with established chess programs, clubs can continue operating as normal while joining league play. For new or developing clubs, the Discovery Center provides direct support:
Observation & Assessment: Hands-on evaluation of current club structure.
Operational Recommendations: A 1–3 week support plan to help clubs launch or improve.
Ongoing Guidance: Ensuring all clubs are prepared to meet league expectations and tournament readiness.
Weekly Challenges: Delivered to each school club to keep students sharpening skills.
Tactics Leaderboards: Recognition for individuals and teams excelling in problem-solving.
Lichess Integration: Each club receives an official Lichess account, enabling weekly inter-school matches.
Networked Scheduling: Matches are assigned based on each school’s club meeting day, coordinated and governed by the league.
Hybrid Coaching: Discovery Chess coaches will visit clubs virtually to assist sponsors in facilitating the lesson components of club.
