Enrolment

This enrolment page is aimed at schools and members of school staff. If you are a parent, follow the link below to be taken to our page for parents on the Education System and Enrolment.

When you have a new EAL pupil enrol at your school, you will need to input their languages and English level onto SEEMiS. You may not need to do this if the pupil has transferred. 

The language will initially come from the pupil's enrolment form. 

If the pupil is new and enrolling for the first time, please put the English level as "Not Assessed" and contact a member of the EAL Team to inform us that a new EAL pupil has arrived. It is very important that the English level be put as "Not Assessed" until a formal assessment has been completed by either a member of the EAL Team or a member of teaching staff.

If the pupil is transferring, you should not need to change any of the information, however you may wish to contact the EAL Team to let us know that an EAL pupil has transferred to your school. In some cases we are already aware of the transfer and will have contacted you ourselves.
