What was basketball like in boarding schools?

There are many famous Indian boarding school basketball teams.  One was Fortshaw Indian school. They were able to go to the world fair and had many achievements in Montana. At one point they were known as Montana's team. 

Another boarding school famous for their basketball skills was the Carslile Indian Industrial School. They were known for being the first indian school to play basketball. Their school quickly became a basketball powerhouse for native sports. Carslile didn't just specialize in basketball they were great at track, football, and a few other sports.
