Dr Francesco Liberati, Assistant Professor in Automatic Control, Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering (DIAG) "Antonio Ruberti" 

Biographic Information

Francesco Liberati was born in Rome in 1987. He is an Assistant Professor (RTD-B) in Automatic Control at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering (DIAG) "Antonio Ruberti".  He obtained the PhD degree in Systems Engineering in 2015 from "La Sapienza" University.

In 2017 and 2018, he was a research project manager at "The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA)" of the European Commission, in Brussels, where he managed a portfolio of 20 large smart grids and smart cities research projects. 

In 2015 and 2017 he was an Assistant Professor (RTD-A) in Automatic Control at the eCampus University. 

He has carried out applied research in several European-funded projects, taking also project management roles as team leader and work package leader.

His current research interest include cyber-physical systems and control problems in smart grids, which involve the application of optimal control and artificial intelligence techniques.
