Venue: Palazzo Rospigliosi. V. Ventiquattro Maggio, 43, 00187 Roma RM.
Date: 14 September 2026
The palace is located in the heart of Rome's historic center, right across from the Quirinale Palace, site of the Italian Republic President.
Built on the ruins of the baths of Costantino Emperor, the building was commissioned in 1611 by Scipione Borghese and designed by Vasanzio and Maderno. The interior decorations were handled by great artists as Guido Reni, Paul Bril, Orazio Gentileschi, and other famous artists of the 1600s. In the following years, the palace changed ownership: after the Borghese, Cardinal Guido Bentivoglio owned it, then Cardinal Mazarin, and in 1704, the Rospigliosi Pallavicini family. During the 18th century, the Rospigliosi Pallavicini Palace was divided between the two branches of the family, and only the portion attributed to the Rospigliosi family has been passed down to the current owning company. The palace still houses two splendid private art galleries featuring works by Botticelli, Signorelli, Carracci, and Guercino.
Today the palace appears in various blocks overlooking the central garden in front of the main entrance, where the loggia-belvedere stands out, while at the back, the buildings constructed in the first half of the 1800s create a pleasant atmosphere, with a series of small courtyards connected by charming passages.
The block where our reception will be held is composed by several rooms richly decorated with frescoes by Guido Reni, and statues by Bernini.
Venue: Palazzo Taverna. Via Monte Giordano, 36 00186 Roma.
Date: 15 September 2026
Ancient residence of the Orsini and Borgia families, located in the heart of Rome, between Piazza Navona and Castel Sant’Angelo.
Palazzo Taverna, mentioned by Dante in the Divine Comedy, was built in the 15th century on the ruins of Giordano Orsini’s fortress, where the family dominated the area on the banks of the Tiber river.
The palace then became the focal point for the family’s “representation” policy and was the residence of ambassadors and cardinals: Ippolito d’Este received Bernardo and Torquato Tasso there, while Cardinal Luciano Bonaparte hosted Empress Eugenia and Father Gioacchino Belli.
Bought by Maurice of Savoy, who endeavored to embellish it, Palazzo Taverna subsequently passed (in the early 1600s) to the Gabrielli, who gave it its current appearance. Finally, the last change of ownership saw the Palazzo coming into the ownership of the Aldobrandini family.
Venue: Museum of Classical Art (Gypsoteca) – Sapienza University of Rome.
