Visa Requirements

Participants from EU nations, the USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand do not need a Visa to enter Italy. Several NON-EU citizens will need a Visa. 

We strongly recommend you to check the official website of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (https://vistoperitalia.esteri.it/?lang=en_US) for updated and detailed information regarding entrance Visas and permits of stay in Italy. 

We also recommend you to contact the Italian Embassy or Consulate nearest to you.

IMPORTANT: If an entry visa is required, please allow sufficient time for this procedure.

Upon entering Italy and the Schengen Area, even if you have a visa, Border Authorities are authorized once again to check the documents required for issuance of the visa.

Invitation Letters

Should you require an invitation letter for a visa application, kindly forward your request to the ESORICS 2026 team at esorics2026@di.uniroma1.it with a subject that includes the phrase "Invitation Letter Request".

Please include your complete name, institutional details, passport number , the ID and title of your paper (if relevant), and evidence of your payment.
