The Coronavirus (COVID-19) has reshaped our lives in a way that was once unimaginable. Not long ago, schools pushed for large open classrooms and flexible seating options to enhance student collaboration and relationship-building. As educators and administrators rethink how to effectively educate students, it is important to remember we are all in this fight together and providing support to one another is essential.
The guidance issued from ISBE and IDPH has been a roadmap to ensure that schools are able to open their doors to onsite learning in a safe manner, however, as public officials learn new information about COVID-19, their guidance evolves, which can alter our plans. Everyone at District 58 believes that in-person instruction is the most beneficial way to teach, but we are also aware that guidelines are set forth to ensure we can do this safely.
