LA- On Monday in Language Arts, we brainstormed topics as a class for our argumentative essays. And took a part of our study sync test. On Tuesday in Language Arts, we got our partners and chose our two detail sections, and continued to work on our study sync test. On Wednesday we learned how to write an argumentative essay and continued to work on ours. In addition to that, we worked on our study sync test. On Thursday we took our study sync test and worked on our essay. And finally, on Friday we went to the library where Mr. Berger taught us a lesson on how to research. This was our week in Language Arts. -TP
Reading- On Monday, we did a Jamestown based off of Anne Frank. A Jamestown is an article followed with questions about what you just read. The Jamestown was about Miep, who was one of the caretakers of Anne Frank and the others hiding during World War Two. We have focused on Anne Frank Act II for this whole week. On Tuesday, we read some of Anne Frank Act II, and had time to work on any extra LA/Reading work. Then, on Wednesday, we read some more of Anne Frank Act II and then took a 5 question mini quiz about what we read so far. We also had time to read a book or work on anything else LA/Reading related. On Thursday, we finished Anne Frank and we took our last mini quiz. On Friday, we watched Act II of the Anne Frank movie. That was our week in Reading class!-LU

11/4-11/8- LA- In La we started off the week by looking at our grades for the Poe extended response and found out what we did wrong. On tuesday we corrected our extended response by looking at the rubric and raising our scores. On wednesday we took our unit 2 vocab test which we have been working on for a few weeks. Thursday we worked on our fairy tale outlines. And finally friday we started off taking notes on adjectives and adverbs then the class working on our fairy tales. -FP
Reading- In reading this week on monday we just really worked on what we needed to finish. He gave us time to work on are movie poster and read are reading book. On Tuesday we started first worksheet on fairy tales and we listened to The Frog-Prince and figured out what the story elements were. Then after that we watched fairy tale videos and were told that we had to make are own and got a sheet that we had to fill out about what are story is like and its rising, falling, relosioln, Protagonist and Antagonist and the theme. On wednesday we did snow white. Thursday was crazy because are movie poster was due and we all turned it in. After we got into groups and have to be a teacher for the class and explain what are figurative language is. Friday is here! We got to read another story and that was Hansel and Gretel and wrote down its story elements. Once everyone was done with that we had to write the similarities of Hansel and gretel by the Grim Brothers and Once upon a times Hansel and gretel -KH

Reading-Monday we worked on a Poe packet. Tuesday we finish the Poe packet. Wednesday we did an extended response on some of Edgar Allan Poe's poems and short stories. Thursday we did a Halloween packet. Friday we had the choice to personal read, study vocab, and work on the book project.-NF
LA-This week in LA we mostly worked on vocabulary but specifically so far this week we have made a class kahoot, and flashcards. On Halloween we did a halloween packet, that was super fun! On friday we got to play the kahoot that we made and other periods kahoots too. -RL

LA- This week we did vocab, subject verb, and the expository essays. On Monday and Tuesday we did our expository essays which were about a question we could not answer. They were revised on Monday and turned in on Tuesday. We had a subject/verb test on Wednesday, where we had to find the subject and verb of each sentence. The rest of the week we did vocabulary in our unit 2 vocab packets. -JS

Reading- On Wednesday we read Annabel Lee. On Thursday we went over Anabel Lee and watched more videos about the poem. Today we went over different rhyme schemes for poems, the Annabel Lee study sync, and worked on finishing the Annabel Lee packet.- NB

LA-On Monday in LA, we started our first Expository essay. We started with researching our topics and writing our topic sentence. On Tuesday, we continued to work on the essay and we did the first part of the body paragraph. On Wednesday, again we worked on our essays, this time we wrote the second part of the body paragraph. On Thursday, we wrote the conclusion sentence and we finished the essay. On Friday we started to work on our narrative essay. -CF
R-In reading we were reading the Monkey's Paw. We talked about the story and what was happening with the mood, foreshadowing and tone. Then, we went on StudySync and highlighted what we found, and filled out our think questions.- SH

LA- Noun/Pronoun Test on Monday. We wrote the first half of our expository essay and worked on unit 1 vocab and studied for noun/pronoun retakes.
R- We studied how to summarize non fiction. Took a summary mini quiz. Studied main idea and had a library lesson.

LA- On Tuesday we took notes on Nouns and Pronouns. Wednesday we created a practice test. On Thursday we traded practice tests for practice. On Friday we had a Kahoot on nouns and pronouns.
R- On Tuesday and Wednesday we studied the plot line and mapped out two short stories on their own plot line. On Thursday we took the Plot Line mini quiz. On Friday we started our activity on summarizing.
