The essay contains sensory detail that describes what the writer sees, hears, smells, touches, and tastes.
Conventions: Correct grammar, indented paragraphs and correct spelling.

Argumentative Essay Rubric
Introduction: Student has written an introduction that grabs the reader’s attention while accuratly informing the reader on the topic of the essay.
Body: Students have given useful and logical reasons for their argument. They have supported their reasons with citations from reputible sources that allign with their thinking.
Counter: Student acknowledge the other side of their argument without supporting it.
Conclusion: Student has restated important information and incouraged the reader to think or do something about the topic of the essay.
Conventions: Student has provided a paper will correct spelling, organization and punctuation. Student has cited sources correctly.
