Success is not only about getting a job; it’s about building a career.
Success is not only about getting a job; it’s about building a career.
MISSION The mission of the Dress for Success New Orleans Professional Women’s Group (PWG) is to provide our network of newly employed Dress for Success New Orleans women the partnership of support, practical information and inspiration to achieve self-defined success in career and life. The PWG is a networking, job retention and professional development program that empowers employed Dress for Success New Orleans clients to aspire for self-defined success through motivation, mentoring, resources, training and partnership with professional women in the community.
Membership policy: if you are unemployed, or become unemployed you will need to make 2 appointments in the Dress for Success New Orleans Career Center in order to continue membership in the Professional Women's Group.
POWER As a woman making the transition from unemployment into the workforce, you may face a myriad of social and economic challenges— from understanding corporate culture to handling personal finances. The PWG supports your success and provides a safe environment for dialogue, education and support in relation to work, home and community.
WISDOM You will be invited to attend monthly meetings in which successful women in the community speak about career and personal development topics. Curriculum includes Workplace Etiquette, Financial Education, Health & Wellness, Work/Life Balance and Civic Responsibility & Leadership.
GROWTH In addition to monthly meetings, members receive opportunities for career coaching, mentoring, training, participation in community events, discounted products and services, and additional attire to complete a professional wardrobe. Members also have the opportunity to serve as a delegate at the international Success Summit, an annual leadership conference for PWG members and coordinators. Delegates then lead their fellow PWG members in a Community Action Project to promote positive change in society.

Tidies up the meeting room and pushes in chairs before leaving
Thanks the speaker and hotel staff
Does not bring uninvited guests
Addresses complaints and concerns to PWG coordinator or staff
