MTCP Course on Diplomatic Training for International Participants
The Foreign Service Institute (FSI) held its 17th episode of AHA! Hour: A Knowledge Sharing Session on 30 April 2025 at DoubleDragon Tower, Pasay. FSI’s Training Officer Ms. Bea Marie B. Lopez shared her insights from her international training held in Malaysia which touched on international negotiations, the art of communication, and strategic leadership.
In her presentation, she briefly introduced Malaysia and its foreign policy which centers on four thematic issues: Islamophobia, Climate Change, Food Security, and Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). She also walked the audience through some of their study visits and immersion in Putrajaya and Sarawak, noting the cultural similarities and differences between the Philippines and Malaysia.
Lopez participated in the Diplomatic Training for International Participants, co-organized by the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) and the Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations (IDFR), which took place from 12 to 23 May 2024 in Malaysia.
