The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in the State of Qatar informs the public of the full implementation of the Philippine electronic Visa (e-Visa) system in Qatar starting today, Monday, 05 October 2026.
Residents of Qatar who are eligible for Philippine e-Visas and intend to enter the Philippines for temporary visits may lodge their application online through the official website (evisa.gov.ph), and pay the corresponding e-Visa fees securely via direct bank transfer, as applicable.
Once issued by the Embassy, approved e-Visas may be accessed by holders remotely through their personal computers, laptops, or mobile devices, and may be presented in either digital or printed format. The e-Visa will no longer be affixed to passports.
Holders of Philippine e-Visas are reminded to accomplish the online Philippine e-Travel registration form (etravel.gov.ph) only after their e-Visa has been issued by the Embassy, and within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Philippines, to avoid difficulties at Philippine ports of entry.
Please note that Philippine e-Visas are not valid for conversion to other types of visas, and the authorized period of stay is not extendable. Foreign nationals intending to visit the Philippines for studies, employment, or other non-tourism purposes are advised to apply for a regular visa sticker at the Embassy.
The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Doha is monitoring developments 24/7 and is continuously coordinating with local authorities, various diplomatic missions in Doha, various Philippine Embassies across the region, and relevant offices in Manila as the current situation unfolds.
As of this writing, over 2,000 Filipinos consisting of stranded passengers and distressed OFWs have returned to Manila and other onward destinations via the evacuation flights mounted by Qatar Airways beginning 07 March 2026.
The Embassy has provided assistance to at least 28 stranded nationals who crossed the Qatar-Saudi border en route to Riyadh for their outbound flights, assisted three (3) stranded OFWs in re-entering Qatar from the Kingdom of Bahrain, and facilitated the return to Manila of five (5) distressed Filipino tourists.
At least 1,112 affected OFWs have been assisted by the Embassy’s Migrant Workers Office. Assistance includes facilitating onward travel to the Philippines, as well as provision of medical assistance and temporary accommodation.
At least 241 nationals have received assistance for the issuance of Saudi entry visas.
Several other stranded Filipino transit passengers and nationals on temporary visit have left for the Philippines. Those who remain in Qatar are either given hotel provision by their airlines or are under the care of their visa sponsors. The Embassy is aware of their whereabouts.
Filipino nationals with Hayya or Family Visit Visas whose flights are affected by the ongoing developments in the region are strongly encouraged to coordinate with their airlines for confirmation of their outbound flights. Stranded tourists who need Embassy assistance may reach out through email at doha.pe@dfa.gov.ph or call (+974) 6644-6303.
Emergency consular and labor-related concerns are being addressed by the Embassy as per usual.
Local authorities affirm that they are in control of the situation and that the security landscape in Qatar remains stable. Nonetheless, the Embassy strongly encourages Filipinos in Qatar with non-emergency errands to remain indoors for their safety and adhere to guidelines provided by the Embassy and local authorities.
