The Dexter Dreadbots is a robotics team founded in 2011 that competes through FIRST Robotics Competitions. Every year the group is presented with a game and must build a robot that can complete the tasks of the game. The club is then given anywhere from 6-8 weeks to build said robot. The team is split into 10 subteams: five technical and five non-technical subteams. Technical subteams are responsible for the fabrication of the robot - everything from physical construction to wiring or programming. Non-technical subteams are responsible for relations with sponsors and other teams, merchandise, branding, safety, and strategy.
