SRSLY works with SRSLY Dexter, a grant-funded community coalition that works to prevent substance use and abuse among Dexter teens. The club also focuses on strengthening mental health. SRSLY is a leadership club with opportunities to plan fun events for teens, to plan educational events for the community, and to work on advocacy and legislation around substance use. Recently, the club took part in a community clean-up for Join Hands Day.

The Compass is a student-designed, student-produced (in collaboration with DHS GraphX), and student-run store selling a large multitude and array of DHS swag. The store is open to students during every lunch. It is occasionally open before and after school during big events and is sometimes open before Dexter Drama productions.

DCA meets every Thursday at 7:30 am in Mr. Mackinder’s room (407). Student leaders lead a devotional, discussing questions on the topic and closing in prayer. DCA also tends to have donuts at the meetings. In previous years they have done bell ringing for Salvation Army, filled boxes for Operation Christmas Child, and went bowling as a group.

This group is to support LGBTQ students at Dexter High School. The group will create a safe place for students to discuss relevant issues and provide a sense of community. This is a space for LGBTQ+ and allied youth to build a social network where their identities are respected and provide education on current LGBTQ issues that may impact the school community and beyond.

Quiz Bowl focuses on many academic disciplines, with the team(s) competing in a tri-county league and tournament (with the opportunity to compete in other local competitions, too). There is also the possibility of competing in the state championship if the team(s) qualify. All practices are held after school, with having fun, team building, and learning something new being the main focus. Quiz Bowl has previously competed as Science Bowl in separate competitions.

SNAP (Students Need Accepting Peers) meets Fridays after school from 3:00-3:30 to plan field trips, inclusive sporting events, and inclusive activities during and after school. Recently, the club participated in the Polar Plunge.

Being a high school student can mean pressure; many have lots of stress and want to alleviate some of it. By practicing mindfulness and yoga, students can focus on the moment and not stress about the future. This club helps students take a moment to relax and realize they don’t need to fixate on what is going wrong or what is to come. The Yoga and Mindfulness Club helps students enjoy the present time and live in the day.

The Pickleball Club meets once a week (indoor in winter and at the Mill Creek courts in fall and spring) to get together and play pickleball. We work on skills such as serving, backhand, and other shots. Each meeting consists of a few games and meeting new people. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged!
