Identification of the project and activity:
The volunteers will work and participate in activities in two centres:
Apoio à vida: Supports pregnant women. It is a listening and welcoming space, it aims is to empower each woman to decide freely. The tasks of the volunteers will be: support in campaigns and events, logistics, communication, organisation of baby clothes, regular baby care, support and follow-up of mothers and families, support after childbirth and collection of donations.
Pontes de Caridade: Supports the people in need from the parish of Nossa Senhora de Rosàrio de Fátima. They distribute food baskets to families - in collaboration with the Banco Alimentar contra a Fome - as well as clothes, hygiene products, school supplies and other items. They also help with the payment of medicines and essential expenses such as rent, electricity and gas or water. The tasks of the volunteers will be: collecting food, preparing and distributing baskets, collaborating in the collection and transport of donated goods, specially furniture and household utensils, and organising and distributing clothes and basic necessities to the families.
Timetable: every day from 09.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00 (changes subjected to the needs of the organisation).

All students selected for the VUELA program will receive common training for participation in volunteer activities.

The on-site support will be done by the organization itself. The welcome to Lisbon and the follow-up of any incident will be supported by the reference person of the Catholic University of Portugal in the Lisbon Campus.
Volunteers will be accomodated in the Women's University Residence and they can have lunch at the Catholic University. Each volunteer will contribute individually with a given amount of money (same amount for all the volunteers) to cover the costs of accommodation and meals. The amounts will be communicated prior to arrival, as well as the method of payment.

The student is responsible for arranging and paying for transportation to the intervention site, and must inform the project's reference university of the date and time of arrival at least 15 days in advance.
