KEY DATES ITINERARY AND FINANCING CONDITIONS FOR STUDENTS OF LUMSA UNIVERSITY

TRAINING


All STUDENTS SELECTED for the VUELA programme will receive common training for the participation in the volunteer projects. This training is COMPULSORY. The programme starts with the training.

OBJECTIVE: promote intensive volunteering (national and international) from a perspective of education for development and global citizenship in which reflective and transformative learning is encouraged, open to diversity and committed to an international vision of justice and solidarity.

Book them in your calendar now! Please note that if you are unable to attend, you will not be eligible to participate in the programme.

ENROLMENT PERIOD

10 December-21 February

To register for the programme, you will need to fill in a form, attach a letter of motivation and a CV with a photo.

SELECTION

22-23 February

When we receive your application form, you will be invited for a personal interview with the person in charge of the Vuela programme on your campus.

MANDATORY TRAINING IN ROME

24 February

All the students selected will have to attend mandatory training on Service-Learning at the Scuola di Alta Formazione EIS of the LUMSA University of Rome, Via della Traspontina 10, 00193, Rome – from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

COMMUNICATION OF PROJECT

26 february and 4 March

On the 26th of February all candidates will be informed if they have been selected as well as the assignment projects.  The 4th of March we will publish the final list of VUELA 2024 Programme Service-Learning projects and section by students. ·  

OPTIONAL TRAINING IN MOHERNANDO SPAIN

15-17 March

Optional training on Service-Learning in Mohernando (Castile-La Mancha), Spain. Each student selected for the VUELA Programme will have to follow the training in the manner defined by the specific Service-Learning project chosen (indicatively between March and June 2024).

CONNECTION WITH ORGANISATIONS

18-22 March

This week, as far as possible, connections with the teams, accompaniers and social organisations responsible for the projects will be planned. Students will be informed in advance.

FINANCING

Travel, accommodation and food costs of VUELA projects are covered by the students. As well as the cost of the optional training in Mohernando for those attending.
