Project and activity identification:

The Masnatur Foundation works to promote, through leisure activities, the integral development of people with disabilities (especially children and young people), as well as providing respite time for their families. The program includes activities in all areas of leisure (theme parks, bowling, skating, etc.) and culture (cinema and museums) and, above all, access to nature such as parks, gardens and nature camps.

What are we going to do?

Accompaniment in basic activities of daily living and support in leisure and free time activities for children and young people with disabilities, which due to their situation cannot be carried out by themselves.

Hours of activity: Full day

The Foundation will provide you with a welcome manual and annexes explaining the organization and general information.  We will also have a previous meeting/interview to inform you about everything. You can consult the website and social networks to see camps from other years. Before the camp there will be a training of approximately 2 hours. The negative certificate of crimes of sexual nature or equivalent will be requested.

Description of the beneficiaries:

Children and youth with disabilities will be attended. Mostly cerebral palsy and related disabilities. Thanks to the participation of volunteers from the university, it will be possible to provide accompaniment and help to all those people with disabilities so that they can fully enjoy the leisure activities that they cannot do by themselves. The greater the participation of student volunteers in the activities, the greater the number of beneficiaries who will be able to attend these activities, and the greater the impact.

Previous training:

All students selected for the VUELA program will receive common training for participation in volunteer activities.

Consult YOUR UNIVERSITY in the following links for training dates, location and conditions.  Don't forget to mark them in your calendar. This training is mandatory and is part of the project.

Field support:

The field accompaniment will be carried out by the organization itself throughout the project, as well as by a person from the convening universities who will accompany the experience in the field.

Lodging and meals:

Round trip transportation from Moncloa (Madrid), lodging and meals will be paid by Fundación Masnatur.
