Students from 1st year of psychology, social education, pedagogy, sociology, primary education and social work. With sensitivity towards people with intellectual disabilities.

Project and activity identification:

The mission of Inclusión Activa is to actively improve the quality of life of each person with intellectual functional diversity and their families, providing them with all the individual or collective support they need, also to promote the processes of social transformation necessary for them to become full citizens in a fair and caring society.


To achieve this, it has several programs and centers that support the process of participation in the community of people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities as full citizens, as well as improving the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities in all its dimensions: emotional well-being, social inclusion, etc. 


What are we going to do?

To support the process of participation in the community of people with intellectual disabilities and/or development as full citizens. To participate in the activities programmed at the centers, as well as in leisure activities, community support, and any other activity offered by the organization.


Schedule: from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, approximately.

Description of the beneficiaries:

The community of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Previous training:

All students selected for the VUELA program will receive common training for participation in volunteer activities. 

Consult YOUR UNIVERSITY in the following links for training dates, location and conditions.  Don't forget to mark them in your calendar. This training is mandatory and is part of the project.

Field support:

The on-site support will be done by Inclusión Activa. The welcome to Seville and the follow-up of any incident will be supported by the reference person from Universidad Loyola Andalucía.

Lodging and meals:

Shared accommodation in Seville or in Dos Hermanas. Meals will be prepared in the shared accommodation, except for the luch, which could be taken at the center with the people working at Inclusión Activa.

The Loyola University will help in the search for accommodation. Each volunteer will contribute individually with a given amount of money (same amount for all the volunteers) to cover the costs of the accommodation and the meals (breakfast an dinner) . The amounts will be communicated prior to arrival, as well as the method of payment.

Transport:

The student is responsible for arranging and paying for the transportation to the intervention site. The student must inform the project's reference university of the date and time of arrival at least 15 days in advance.
