At DE UNA we actively support several organizations and also implement our own initiatives aimed at improving local communities in Colombia. One of these projects is the promotion of culture and traditions through the Mochila Kogui of the Sierra Nevada.
Mochilas koguis
The Kogüi are the original inhabitants of the Sierra Nevada. Through our work with SHIBDULDA FOUNDATION, we have contributed to the socioeconomic and cultural development of ten (10) families of the Kogüi community, located in the towns of Zebaszie and Palestina. Some of these families include the Garavito, Nolavita, Dingula, Nacoguies, Gil, Bolaños and Moscote surnames.
In addition, this work has allowed the reforestation of 40 fique plants in the village of Zebaszie, a fundamental raw material for the production of the traditional Mochila Kogüi.
