In the heart of Vaupés, where the river whispers stories, JIBABA is born. A project created by DE UNA Colombia Tours to celebrate and pay tribute to the traditions, culture, and ancestral heritage of Vaupés. An embrace with our friends from the jungle.

United with the same spirit through sports, we honor their traditions, culture, and the bonds we have built together. We thank the communities for opening their doors to us, sharing their traditions, and teaching us the value of every act.

As a symbol of gratitude, we sponsor the JIBABA event for all the delegations and facilitate sustainable energy by donating solar panels to the participating communities, spreading hope in the land that welcomes us. Thus, together, we weave a future in which friendship shines.

JIBABA 2024 is project by DE UNA Colombia Tours.

An event that not only challenges our physical abilities, but also our minds. A space to embrace traditions, culture, and the ties that are woven with other cultures. In this short video we tell you a little more about this wonderful experience JIBABA 2024.

The word JIBABA means "my friend" in the Taiwano language.

Cultural exchange, community empowerment and renewable energy: The Mission of "DE UNA".

What better way to promote friendship, exchange of experiences, knowledge and culture between people and communities, than through sports. That is why DE UNA Colombia Tours is preparing for the event of the year.

Together with the communities of Villa Real, Jirijirimo, Buenos Aires, San José de Cananarí, Altamira and Puerto Morroco.

This event will include a men's football championship and mixed championships in micro-football, volleyball and basketball, all with the aim of bringing the communities together and making their needs and challenges known to clients and donors. We want to thank the community of Vaupés for all that they have inspired in us through the years, that is why DE UNA Colombia Tours will make an important donation that will help cover some of their needs; A complete kit of solar panels to benefit the community at the end of the event.

Thomas Doyer, co-founder of DE UNA tells us about the JIBABA project in the community of Vaupes.

"The idea of this project is to provide solar energy in 2 traditional communities, in the department of Vaupes (Amazonas), on the Cananari River. It is about the communities 'San Jose de Cananari' and 'Altamira'. Both fairly small communities, of between 20 and 25 families. In a changing society, the material needs in these types of communities are also increasing. When we visit this region, the first thing we often ask for is salt, soap, fishing equipment and batteries.'' - T.D

Miller Torres, from the Jirijimiro community of Vaupes, talks about the importance of sport, entertainment and cultural exchange in the community through recreational activities that positively impact communities.
